Deadly Premonition - 8-Bits "Whistle Tune - C64 style"
Here's a wonderful 8-bits style take on the fantastic Whistle Tune from, yes, Deadly Premonition!
That's right, Zack!
Music by Orthogonalus
Do you hear this Zack?
That's right again.
The symphony of the tune, the melody. It does reminds me of the good old retro era of video gaming. And you know what Zack?
Exactly! The chiptunes are quite lovely, who said you needed a big orchestra to pull out memorable music you would keep listening to? Not me.
Would you take another cup of coffee Zack?

Eyz Drawing + 8-bits tune - Kiki's "Message of Rouge"
Here's a new drawing for a change!
I wanted to draw Kiki from Hayao Miyazaki's classic movie Kiki's Delivery Service for some time :P
And since I was thinking about that..
I love the opening Rock 'n' Roll theme so much, that I uploaded an 8-bits version of it on my youtube channel:
It came out pretty good I think, surprisingly!
The opening tune of Studio Ghibli's "Kiki's Delivery Service", "Rouge No Dengon" (Message of Rouge).
A very fun 60s style japanese rock and roll song!
Once again done using FL Studio 8 with the plugin magical8bit to simulate the 8 bits sound.
Hope you like it ;)
(and that youtube won't screw up the sound too much as usual!)

8 Bits music & drawing - the Blues Brothers
People who know me, usually know that I'm a huuuuuge Blues Brothers fans.
Now, you do too.
So here's the obligatory Blues Brothers related post I was due to post at some point on my blog.
First of all, here's a cartoon drawing I made, kind of a take with in mind what the BB would look like if they would get an animated series.
Oh, and I'm gonna use this occasion to also show an alternate version of this same pic alongside the pencils:
(click for bigger resolutions)
And finally, after all this time, a new 8-bits styled take on one of their songs, like those 8-bits songs I used to post on the blog a long time ago.
Everybody needs somebody to love 8-bits
The song is "Everybody needs somebody to love".
It's been years since I made one of those!~
(well, more like a year, give or take)
I kinda screw this one up melody-wise. Oh well...like I said, it's been years.
Once again done using FL Studio 8 with the plugin magical8bit.
Hope you like it ;)

Now, you do too.
And here's my "little" collection of BB CDs I bought over the years when I was younger, back when people used to actually buy CDs.

8 Bit music - Pizza Cats, Mazingaaah Zetto and Do-ronbooooo!
Hello gang!
Remember that post a while ago?
Here's 3 more old "8 bit interpretations" I've uploaded on my youtube account some months ago.
Once again, all done with the program FL Studio 8 with the plugin magical8bit!
Samurai Pizza Cats 8 bit
This one is dated from 26 juillet 2009.
First of all, I'd say this one's of my few favorite interpretations. I usually don't like looking back at what I've done some time after. Be it drawings, music, etc...
But this one sounds still pretty decent to me now.
A bit harder to get right, I played a long time in FL studio to get the sound and rythm that way.
Mazinger Z theme song 8 bit
From 29 septembre 2009.
More Mazingaaah! I love all the catchy original japanese songs the whole Mazinger series used!
I had to do this one!
Tensai Doronbo 8 bit
23 mars 2010.
I gotta admit, I don't really like looking back at this one... Could have been a lot better.. Some background "voices" are pretty bad. I should have used other ways to replicate those sounds... (maybe use less tracks, less sounds...)
That's all I've done so far!
So stay tuned, if I do more, you guys and gals on this blog will be the first to know of it! (with the other 2 guys watching my youtube account)

Hey gang! Well, you 4 or 5 still reading me actually : P
(or you're a whole lot more, according to my Pageviews, but only a couple comment a handfull "follow" the nblog)
I decided to cross-media stuff from my youtube account into this blog!
So, in this first installment "8 Bit music" I wanted to post some 8 bit tunes I've done, base on some fan-favorites games, old school animes and other cult opening themes!
Afterall, we do love our opening videos on this blog!
Here's the very first few 8 bit interpretation I've done.
The artwork was mine, and the one I submitted which was featured in Sonic & the Black Knight on the Wii. (yeah, I was one of the winners of that contest...)
Cutey Honey Opening 8-bit
Aaah : )
Cutey Honey! A cult favorite! An 8 bit game would kick so much ass XD
Done and posted June 20 2009.
Go Nagai rocks! Speaking of...
Grendizer Theme 8-bit
July 28 2009 - Grendizaaa!
Goldorak, the harder one to get right... I'm still not 100% happy with the result here...
Anyway, that's it for today's 8 Bit music!
The pics were all done by me, easily found in my deviantArt gallery in case you'd ask.
