Stand-up - Louis CK interview on Letterman

Today, yet another early clip from Louis CK's comedy!
This one's from 1995, on Letterman's show.

It's quite funny to already hear some of his routines taking shape this early on.

Time moves on, things change but jokes stay the same. Amirite or am I right?

Interview - Jon Lovitz and Dana Carvey on the Dennis Miller Show (1992)

I've been thinking about watching some episodes of The Critic...and it got me searching for Jon Lovitz videos on youtube.

This is a fun interview of Jon Lovitz and Dana Carvey on the Dennis Miller Show.

Gotta love the era.
People just havin' fun on TV, with crazy 90s hairstyle (hey, Superman had the same mullet back then!)
Good times, simpler times...

DC News! Superman Versus The Elite

With Justice League: Doom finally released, it's now time to turn over for DC's next animated project.
Which will be Superman Versus The Elite...

Here's the official pitch:
The Elite, a team of super-powered antiheroes, is renowned for killing their enemies. Despite the acclaim and approval the Elite enjoy, Superman knows they are in the wrong, creating more harm than good by their methods. Tensions between them finally culminate in a mass showdown on Jupiter’s moons, when Superman is forced to prove that violence is never a positive.Superman vs. The Elite, the latest in the series of DC Universe Animated Original Movies from Warner Bros. Animation, will be available on Blu-ray, DVD, On Demand and for Download.
It's announced for a Summer release date. (no clue regarding the month?!)

It seems this new direct-to-video movie will be based on Joe Kelly's run in Action Comics (more specifically, issue #775) which featured new villains Elite and Manchester Black.
Sounds like an original pick for a movie feature!
It will be a bit darker than your usual Superman cartoons for sure.

Superman Versus The Elite will have George Newbern as Superman and Pauley Perrette as Lois Lane.
And the film is directed by Michael Chang (Batman: Brave and the Bold,..) with Bruce Timm as executive producer and Alan Burnett (Green Lantern: Emerald Knights) as producer.

Check out some pics:

No trailer yet.

BTW, World's Finest got a pretty cool interview with Nathan Fillion regarding his two times voicing Hal Jordan. So, check it out!

And DC Nation started, alongside new episodes of Young justice and Green Lantern (the CGi animated cartoon).
Warner Bros Animation making random new cartoon shorts and other segments around DC Comics characters!
What d'you guys think of it so far - for those who've seen it.
Me?
I like it, I like the idea.
The segment about Green Arrow's boxing arrow was random but funny (and waaaay too short). So far my favorite's been Plastic Man's episode!

Stand-up - RAAAAAAAANDY

The following video is actually about a fake stand-up comedian, RAAAAAAAANDY.
Which is actually the character Aziz Ansari plays in the movie Funny People.

A whole part of Aziz's recent comedy tour was actually devoted to portray this Randy character to people at the end of his show.

Check out this video:

Tim Schafer and Ron Gilbert discuss about adventure games

Not just glad to have launched a successful kickstarter project, Double Fine's Tim Schafer made this little video in which he and classic adventure game legend Ron Gilbert discuss about the genre and their carreer at LucasArts.

A very nice insight video with lots of little trivia and memories from the golden age of the genre, enjoy!

I really hope this turns out good, but the best of the genre's been coming from Europe these last bunch of years mostly.

Let's see what these master can come up with!~

Fringe - A Sitdown with J.J. Abrams

So the awesome TV series Fringe is going into hiatus until March 23. (!!)
Boy, it's gonna be a long time to wait for the new episodes...specially after this cliffhanger...

The show's already turned into my favorite series, even more so than Lost previously. At least it embraces and goes exploring science fiction themes more openly.

Anyways, here's a little interview with the show's producer and co-creator J.J. Abrams!
You just don't see him talking about Fringe as often as Lost or Alcatraz (the latest production from Bad Robot).

Epic!
You heard the man! Watch the show, buy the DVD boxsets and support the show!
It's rare to see big epic scifi shows like this one on major networks nowadays, specially one as good as this one. Great production value, and incredible writing!

I really hope we'll get another (and why not even more) season(s)!
Can't they let Abrams direct a two-parter for the opening of the new season?

Anyways, in the mean time, enjoy the series. I'll be watching all the "Fans Ask" videos on Fox's own youtube channel.

Is Nicolas Cage an Highlander? - answers on the 'Late Show with David Letterman'

So what does Nic Cage thinks about the whole "Nic Cage is an immortal vampire" rumor?
Nicky finally talked about it on a recent show of David Letterman...

There you have it!
"Not a vampire".
Case closed, I guess.

...
though I guess an actual immortal vampire would actually say that exact same answer..?
Mmmh.. I guess we'll still have our doubts concerning this whole affair...

Blog - Laugh Factory "part 2"

Remember my post about The Laugh Factor?
Well, here's more!

Whenever you get one of these long work days that never seem to end, or need a laugh in-between too much pressure... They have that youtube channel were they keep uploading segments from stand-up comedians. It's the best remedy to turn that frown into a smile!

Today, I'd like to post some more clips I've seen watching lately. This time covering a more diverse range of artists, including some more from my personal faves.
First up, here's a guy I just found out about, Eric André.
Though he's making fun of "clean comedy", fun dude all in all:

Here's a mini-segment from Felipe Esparza, another new one:

And Deon Cole now. Not a very well known guy, but dude's funny nonetheless:

The hilarious Bobby Lee and his awesome 'stache:

The lovely Maria Shehata goes in details about her experiences with Match.com:

Rob Lindo's got a point about movies these days:

A story by Adam Ray, a real Canadian superhero (not really!):

One more sketch by Harland Williams - which I missed last time:

And finally, here's a crazy one.
Brody Stevens does some stand-up. He talks religion and stuff~
Then he's having a pretty awesome chat with another great comedian on "The Kevin Nealon Show":

Did you like those? :P
Did ya found some new ones you didn't knew about?

Overall, a pretty funny bunch of funny guys (and gal!).

Stay tuned for more!
I recommend checking out some of the other comedians too, there's a lot of very funny stuff on that channel!~

How to be Danny Wallace

I'm currently playing Assassin's Creed Revelations.
I thought this would be appropriate for the blog :P

"He goes on crazy quests then writes books about them. How hard can it be to do Danny Wallace's job for him?"

David Letterman interviews Tracy Morgan [2010.11.04]

And while we're at it:

Inviting Tracy Morgan on such shows never gets old :P

Conan O'Brien interviews Harland Williams

Here's something I've been having fun with lately.
Harland Williams is a pretty crazy dude. Really funny and oh, so random most of the time.
I've been watching quite a lot of Harland Williams interviews on Conan O'Brien lately.
Honestly, Conan might not be my favorite talk show host (i'd prefer the more relatable Jimmy Kimmel over him or the stoic David Letterman too), but it's always to see the guest over shadowing the man on his own show :P

The chemistry was so much between those two that he invited Harland several times, year after year.
Here's all the videos I could find, but there's supposedly more of these interviews out there.

Therse are easily some of his funniest interviews ever!

Is it only me or was O'Brien getting afraid of Harland Williams on some of these? :P
