FanFilmFriday: Maxwell Lord's Advil Commerical
Here's yet another great short from the guys at Blinky Productions.
(I should make a Blinky-tag at this point, honestly!)
This one's also featuring everyone's favorite superhero, Blue Beetle!
...in...
a commercial for Maxwell Lord's Advil!
Man... lots of Infinite Crisis allusions!
Too soon?
(wait...hasn't it been like over a decade now??)

FanFilmFriday: Power Girl
Today, while I'm away and you're reading this automatic post I wrote in advance, I wanted to have some more fanfilm videos from the guys at Blinky Productions.
This time featuring the too much overlooked fun DC heroine, Power Girl!
First off, the video that made people discover the crew of Blinky Productions originally, a couple years ago.
Power Girl: The Classifieds is a fun lil' fan film done in the spirit of the firsts Amanda Conner-drawn Power Girl stories (back in the JSA Classified comics).
It's pretty funny, simple. It was filmed with almost no budget but a helluva motivation and inspiration, and all off this over a course of only 2 months!
Power Girl takes some time off, searches for lil' jobs to do in the meantime and acts, well, as Power Girl ends up acting like.
This film stars Tawnya Manion as PG who makes a fantastic real Kara El, and I'm not only saying that because of the costume, honest! She surely looks the part, and perfectly captures the way Conner portrayed the character in the books.
But wait!
If you liked that, there's more!
Then, some time later, a few years back, they made another PG movie!
This time featuring Bizarro as well in I'm Power Girl Dammit!!
Enjoy,
This, once more, only goes to show what incredible stuff fans can do with only their motivation and interest unlike Hollywood and its thousand billion dollars movies....

Comic NEWS! Live Action Blue Beetle!
Comics!
My favorite writer, Geoff Johns, is now at the helm of DC Entertainment supervising the transition of the DC characters from comics to movies, games and tv.
He is actually trying to greenlight a TV show around the character Blue Beetle, the Jaime Reyes version of the blue beetle.
In fact, he has already been over seeing the making of a little short video, to have his series greenlighted.
This means the show is actually not confirmed.
From what he said on his twitter, he'll have the full motion little video available at the San Diego ComiCon.
Here's some screens that appeard yesterday on the official DC blog, The Source:
Understand that is just some test footage!
Sure it looks pretty cheap, but this show isn't actually confirmed, there isn't a director, writers, a special effect company, actors nor a production company attached to this "project".
It's just something to motivate possible investors.
I'm really liking this so far!
It has that The Flash Tv series vibe alongside a bit of a little of the movies Spider-Man/Ironman.
Jaime could be a pretty cool character to follow on a live action show!
Plus I always thought Superheroes/comic books in general could be better translated into tv shows than movies.
Like, Tobey Maguire Spider-man only met a new supervillain every 2-3 years? Nothing happaned to him during that time, no new challenges, his life didn't evolve or change at all... You get the flaw yearly comic movies have?
Oh, and yes, a Ted Kord's Blue Beetle movie/show could be better and awesome on so many levels.. but only if it involved the Super Buddies/JLI/Booster Gold.
I could easily imagine BB and BG in a buddy movie.
