#FanFilm Friday - "20th anniversary"

For today's #FanFilm Friday post, here's something very special.
Easily the best 3D/CGi animation I've ever seen, and it's not even an actual movie!

From fans to fans.

Enjoy:

Gorgeous animation and very video!
Loved the pacing, and fun atmosphere specially.

This hommage to Dave Stevens was realized by "John Banana".
It was presented for last year's 20th anniversary off The Rocketeer. (about a ~year ago more or less)

This video's been getting a lot of praise from professional and/or fans of Dave.
"I laughed, I cried. Dave would have loved this wonderful hommage that totally captures the warmth, action and humor of his creation. Thank you for making this!"
William Stout - williamstout.com/
Dave would have been impressed. It should be a televison series!
Paul De Meo - Rocketeer movie co-writer & co-screenwriter
I was fairly close with Dave (we worked together on a number of projects) and I know he would have dug this...
Scott Shaw
This is some professional-quality animation. I doubt an actual series/movie would hold a candle to this!

Blog - One year older - and still going!

Hey guys, gals, actual blog post today.
Today's my anniversary so, Happy Birthday to me~

Hope you're having all a great day/time! Holidays are coming up (finally!).
Well, it still is a "normal work day" so, here's to another Tuesday! ~cheers!~

And without further redo here's a random comic our fellow Frobman did for me.
Is that how you see me? Well, I can't deny that, spot on!

(Click for bigger pic)

But it is already on the disc!!! >__<

Anyways, thanks to you and all the other random *Happy Birthdays* shouted on my different accounts (deviantArt, twitter and whatnot~)

And, EXCELSIOR!

Sonic NEWS! 'Generations' Collector Edition

Sonic Generations will have a special edition. And what a collector it is! :D

SEGA already released plenty of Collectors over the last couple of years.
Most of the time exclusive to Europe (don't "BOOH" on me, it's because of the people who buy them in the first place, it seems they sell poorly in the US usually, so Sega prefers to skip them there...).

But this is a first for a Sonic game!
This 20th Anniversary special edition (will join my 10th Anniversary edition of Sonic Adventure 2 on the Dreamcast and) will be released on November 4 for the HD systems.
(and later for the 3DS)

It will feature an special limited release of the game, "free" DLC (I'm betting an extra level for retro Sonic from the looks of it), a figurine containing both retro and modern-Sonics, a (numbered) Gold Ring, an artbook, a documentary "The Story of Sonic" and finally the Sountrack itself! (let's hope it will be as good as usual Sega quality~)
But not this game's OST, but one featuring songs from across the franchise...which is kinda in fact the sountrack of this game to begin with...!

And it seems there will be a simpler cheaper Special Edition too with just the DLC-stuff.

Gamin' NEWS! Sonic 20th Anniversary «Generations» Teaser Trailer

So here it is.

The first video of Sonic's 20th Anniversary game!
Well, just a teaser trailer, through it probably hints at what we might come across, be it content-wise or direction.

So let's check it, ok?

Alright.
Coming in 2011 on Xbox 360 and PS3.

So what do we get from this?
It looks like the rumours about an anniversary title featuring old levels remade might be true.
Also I guess Sega was really buying the trademark "Sonic Generations" as reported by fans, a fitting name for such direction.
Classic and modern Sonic side by side?
Could this be an "event", a crossover game? Remixes of old stages? Revisiting past zones?
A Crisis of Two Hedgehogs?? (ha!)

I'm guessing something close to Sonic Unleashed/Colours gameplay wise, from what the first part of the video hint at.
And I wish a funny plot, that shouldn't be hard to write. I mean, make Eggman cross over time to conquer the world, the classic Sonic teaming up with the current one? And humour. LOTS of it!

Anyway, hyped!

Sonic's 20th Anniversary

Ready for a brand new year 2011?
To face a new year passing by?
That's probably what Sonic Team s thinking.

Sonic The Hedgehog's 20th Anniversary website has just opened.
Waah!
Look, all those shiny ol' game covers!
Looks neat!

Sega of Japan is ready to make lots of announcements this year it seems.
Sonic's got his own special page up for 2011.
Lots of others anniversaries to celebrate over at Sega's. PSO, Virtua Tennis and also the awesome Puyo Puyo series is ready to celebrate its 20th years!
The Sonic Team will probably have similar other announcements to make soon~

Happy 30th anniversary PACMAN!

It's almost PACMAN's 30th anniversary (depending on the place where you live!).
Yes, it's pretty amazing that it already was that many years ago... *sigh*

It's one of my favorite games of all time, a game anyone can play at any time (like, say, at work!!).
I'll take a quick fun play of Pac-man over any immersive realistic 10+ hours modern game XD

PACMAN made his epic debut in May 22, 1980.
So, take a look at Google and you can directly play Pacman from the Goodle logo! a collaboration between Google and Namco for the lil' yellow guy's birthday : )

Oh, and here's a little embed Pac-Man game for when Google will take theirs out in 2 or 3 days!
