#Gaming NEWS! LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes

And here's a pretty kickass trailer of Traveler's Tales' latest game, LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes!
That's right, another Lego Batman game, this time featuring guest JLA-characters to play with!

Looks a bit Arkham City-sh, don't you think?
And voice acting?! Whoah! you got me surprised there! (was there voices in their latest Lego games too, or is that new?)

It's nice to expand these Lego DC games, not just Robin around anymore, but the likes of Superman, The Flash, Wonder Woman and Aquaman!
By the way, it's nice to see even as a Lego, Hal Jordan sort of looks/acts like a douche, even the 2-3 seconds he got in that above trailer :P

This game will be out later next month, on almost all current systems~

DC News! Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes trailer

Speaking of DC, here's the newly released first look at the upcoming Traveller's Tales videogame Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes.

Which looks like it will be a Justice League themed sequel to the previous Lego Batman game...

It will be released on almost every single system - PC, Xbox 360, PS3, Vita, Wii, DS, 3DS  - this summer.

this looks like it might be a pretty fun title!
Why didn't they simply make a Lego JLA, though?

Gamin' NEWS! Lego Batman 2 DC Super Heroes in development

People loved those Lego games by Traveler's Tales?
Well, there's more!

After all the Lego Star Wars, Lego Harry Potter, Lego Indiana Jones and Lego Batman comes... Lego Batman 2 DC Super Heroes!

Just in time for fhe new Batman movie next year!

Well, I guess technically they could have called this one Lego Justice League...
It will in fact be based around the new batch of Lego Toys DC Comics-inspired.
(So, why not call 'em Lego DC Super Heroes??)

Anyway, what d'you think of that? Waiting to play as Lego Green Lantern, Lego Wonder Woman & co?

LEGO Miyazaki

Intrigued? You should be! This is the work of Iain Heath for BrickCon 2010.
Heath recreated the unique worlds of the movies from Studio Ghibli in beautiful Lego sculptures.

This goes to show how colorful the work of Hayao Miyazaki is.
It almost seems to come to life.

It's quite incredible how much you can create with so small Lego blocks, ain't it?

Here's a quote from the man:
Here finally is the finished product, presented at BrickCon 2010 under the "Big In Japan" theme, sponsored by The Brothers Brick. ! I was very honored, surprised and humbled when it received the award for "Big in Japan - Best Overall" award (...which ironcially I also designed!).

To present my completed collection of Miyazaki based Lego creations, I built a Japanese gadren around them. This consisted of several sections of lichen-covered tree trunk sawn to different lengths, some river rocks, various types of moss, a few branches and fern leaves, and also a large amount of sand! Arranging the garden on site took me almost an entire day, during which time I made a complete mess of the floor and table. But my fellow exhibitors were very patient with me, for which I thank them.

Thanks must also go out to Sno-Valley Tree Service of Redmond for providing me (for free) with a large stock of beautiful logs to use in this display. Thankyou Jim!

Thanks also go out to my family, for putting up with the long hours of solitude over the past year that I required to make this dream a reality.

And finally, thankyou to the master himself, Mr. Miyazaki, for inspiring this small homage through his wonderful and timeless works.

Iain.
Check out everything from Nausicaä to Princess Mononoke in Lego.

And what do they do once such conventions is over?

Amazing, I think they translate rather well in Lego form, no? :D
(much better than the actual official adaptations like Lego Prince of Persia, Lego Harry Potter or Lego Indiana Jones...)
