#E3 NEWS! 1st day recap

Not keeping an eye with that much attention at this year's E3 Expo.
Maybe it's because I'm easily spending much more time on retro consoles these days instead of your usual Xboxes, etc.
Or just because this year you have Microsoft announcing "such spectacularly" things as the Internet Explorer for the Xbox 360, or Nintendo and their Wii-U which will have "revolutionary" internet multiplayer gaming and HD graphics, or Sony and their "super original" Smash Bros crossover title and their "all original" motion controllers.
Anyway, there's some fun games that have caught my eye anyway.

First up Marvel released this following trailer of their own DC Universe Online MMORPG Marvel Heroes.
I will certainly be NOT playing it - it being an mmorpg 'n' all - but that doesn't stop me from having a look at this CGi trailer for now:

I hear some familiar voice actors for webhead and Wolvie. And I even got to see Deadpool in there, how cool is that?!

~

Namco just released an all-new impressive trailer for Tekken Tag Tournament 2.

s

Awesome, as usual.
And looking great~

'Really motivated for this one!

~

I'm not really a big fan of the Devil May Cry series. I prefer my hack & slash-type of games old school.
But I will buy the "HD compilation" one of these days! Promise!

Anyway, this new reboot title DmC: Devil May Cry - which fans of the series have either been loving or hating it - does look intriguing.

From the folks behind the game Enslaved. So it will have a certain quality at least.

~

That's all for now, next post, Ubisoft and more!~

Go Home and Be A Family Man!

Here's another classic victory-screen from yet another Street Fighter game.

Sometimes it was the Engrish, other times it was the silly captions that didn't work as well on each character, but there was always something fun outta these :P

Gamin' NEWS! New SF X Tekken trailer!

Here's an all-new Street Fighter X Tekken trailer.

Obviously, fanmade - but a man can dream, can't he?

This one showcasing the more cinematic aspect of the game..that is, the cinematic opening video itself :P
Also, for the ones in doubt, this also confirms Asuka 's appearance in the game (which was obvious if you ask me..)

They've been making the same type of videos since SF4, but I love how well the Namco ladies came out design & expression-wise here. Kudos Capcom!

Gamin' NEWS! DOA5 pics

Here's a bunch of new Dead or Alive 5 pics!

Thisis an important and expected entry of the DOA series for fans!
It will be the first game since DOA2 to be released on two different systems AND the first to have simultaneous release!
It will also be designed with an Harcore audience in mind.
It is being designed and directed by Yosuke Hayashi who's taking up the role left vacant by Itagaki,Tecmo Koei took control over Team Ninja.

It is expected sometime next year in 2012 on both Xbox 360 and PS3.
Make way for some pics:

Looking quite sharp and gorgeous!
The art is a bit less "manga/anime" and more on the realistic side, check out those ladies (Hitomi and Ayane specifically).

And an extended cut of the latest trailer:

This might turn out pretty fun :P

Gamin' NEWS! 1 Tekken X Street Fighter concept art

Here's one concept art from the upcoming Namco title Tekken X Street Fighter, which is better than nothing.

If anything it does show the more realistic approach the game will go for.
Hopefully it will be done in true Tekken-fashion :P
(loads of characters, alternate costumes, character customization, etc..)

Side note: Part of me had wished for a Virtua Fighter X Tekken for so long... I hope this launches a Vs. Series trend at Namco XD

The Hardcore Gamer

This video's been circulating the web already.
Here's a guy who might be a way bit too much into arcade games :P

Well, rail shooters are indeed awesome experiences.
At least it's a Sega arcade game, amIrite? *self-high five - everybody stares me at work..*

Gamin' NEWS! New Soul Calibur announced

And that is all I had to say:

...
Oh, and apparently it will take place 17 years after the last one!
Some major changes to be expected in the character roster then. (and that is good, stuff like that made awesome games such as Street Fighter 3 or Mark of the Wolves in the past)

Gamin' NEWS! SSF4Turbo3DremixHDDeluxeChampionship bis Alpha2.5

Hu-uh....

Guys...this is not a drill...

Remember the arcade edition of SSF4, and its recently announced DLC port (which I've been following on this blog via various posts on the past, just check out this label)
Well...
Check out this picture which has been circulating the web - this is not a fake!

Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition!
It seems someone at Capcom just change idea.
It looks like something which will come out on retail release, on disc!

I'm still hoping a DLC variant will be available, after all Ono said: "SSF4 will be download content friendly this time."
Then again, they also announced that Dead Rising 2 mod.

Looks like an updated version of SSF4 will hit every store.
Ono also added "The arcade edition will be the last version of SF4". So let's hope it stays true though neither rushing a Street Fighter 5 too soon.

Here's the latest additions to the cast:

- Evil Ryu from the Alpha series.
- Oni Akuma/Shin Gouki from..huh.. SNK vs. Capcom (?)
- Yun & Yang from the SF3 series!

And it will tweak gameplay details, change the online mode a bit, add up championship variations, new replays, etc..
The "arcade edition" will be available on June 7th 2011.

Here's a better look at the new SSF4 artwork:

Gamin' NEWS! VF5FSVa trailer!

The real king of (3D) fighters continues to make us wait and hope for a new console port.
For the AOU Amusement Expo 201, Sega just revealed the new arcade update to its 1st fighting game series, which will be called Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown Version A (try saying this out loud 5 times fast in a row~)
The game's looking...huh..still great!
Outstanding!

Here's a trailer that shows that this 2006 game hasn't aged at all and comes still on top of the fighting genre:

Outstanding!
Any hope for this to come to consoles as well??
Pwetty please?? With sugar on top??

Gamin' NEWS! MVC3 final characters reveal!

And finally, the last additions to Marvel Vs. Capcom 3's roster has been announced at last!

Badass official art to kick off the news post~

I knew it.
You knew it.
We knew it.
Everybody knew it.
But Capcom kept denying it.
At last, after a lot of teasing, hints and leaked info it's official!

And by "lot" I means LOTS of leaked material since last year.

The two last characters to join the cast are:
- Sentinel, one of those X-Men hunting Marvel robots. A returning character in fact from MVC2.
- Lei Lei/Hsien Ko from Capcom's Darkstalkers series. Yum! :'3

One word on these new additions? Awesome! Both are great!

Here's some screens in the meantime:

And the brand new trailers showcasing both newcomers:

My first impression as a long time Vs. Series fan?
Hsien Ko looks totally awesome! Just as bizarra and brutal as she originally was.
Sentinel looks...slower than last time...? Maybe to balance the gameplay. (he's a big mean one)

This was the last announcement. The total of available characters is now up to 36!
The game will be out in ~2 weeks, on February 15/18.

On a separate note here's the new characters that were announced to join the cast of SF in the arcade release of Super Street Fighter IV:

That's right! It's classic cult obscure characters, Evil Ryu and Oni Akuma/Shin Gouki.
I'm pretty sure Capcom will be releasing them at some later point for the Xbox 360/PS3, specially since SF developer Ono said the game was DLC friendly. (or they simply lied to us, and will released another version again under the label "Super Turbo Reboot DX Director's Cut Ultra Championship Edition")

Here's more screens:
