So of all the people who read our blog, somebody actually got it:

I believe with the help of team robot, We can find these rare suspension species and introduce each one to a loving owner. Someone who will let these scarce beasts run wild and free and fast as bejesus in their natural habitat, over dirt and rocks.one forty WC at a time... one forty WC at a time, and the world will be a better place for everyone! mostly downhillers.

Speaking of people who read our blog, do you realize that 985 of you came to the site in the past month? That's crazy.
And speaking of the term "that's crazy" here's a great urbandefinition:
That's crazy:
It's the perfect response when you haven't been listening at all.
It works whether the other person has been saying something funny, or sad, or infuriating, or boring....
Them: 'my girlfriend dumped me last night'
You (thirsty, not paying attention): 'oh man, that's crazy'
Them: 'I won 500 bucks at craps last weekend'
You (hungry, daydreaming about a tasty sandwich, not listening): 'wow, that's crazy'
It's basically how I speak with anyone now. So much more efficient.

Comments
Did you realize that there is a place on this website for comments? I mean, I guess I saw the "comments" part of the page, but I never realized that anyone would use it. Today as I was looking at the miserable excuse for a website that we call TeamRobot, I noticed that we had all sorts of comments on previous posts.
What a novel idea. Now with the click of a button the lone blogger can be connected to the people that read this stupid, self-absorbed blog. The distant but symbiotic relationship between blogger and reader is finally directly connected, and any isolation that had previously existed between the various anonymous readers and the lone writer can be finally and forever destroyed thanks to the miracle of social engineering.
But then I actually read the comments and realized that the people who write comments suck almost as bad as the people that write this stupid website.
One great example of how bad people suck is captured in the reactions that one post making fun of a nameless, faceless freerider (which by the way is the description of the half of the posts on our website). Here is the post in it's entirety:
"Everything that is wrong in the world in one picture.
Bring it up to full size to really drink this one in."
This post received lots of negative feedback. In fact, it was the recipient of more comments than any other post.

Reactions ranged from confusion to frustrastion, and even included mockery that suggested that we at Team Robot were elitist or even gay. And while I respect your right to have an opinion, you all suck.
I realize that my own comment on that picture was fairly vague, and left a lot open to interpretation. So let's get some incorrect theories out of the way.
You could potentially look at that picture and want to make fun of things like:
-Color matched anodized everything
-Stupid looking/non-functional high tops shoes
-Ugly tattoo featuring the British Flag (making him a Red Coat, or worse, a Loyalist)
-Too-short shorts
-Riding board bridges on downhill specific bikes
-Eighteen (color-matched anodized) spacers under his stem, yielding the same bar height that could be achieved by sliding the bottom fork crown up by a 1/2 inch on the stanchion.
Some of you probably thought those complaints were the reason behind my rage. And some of you thought incorrectly. While making fun of people who are different is a time-honored tradition in the world of man, that was not my reason.
Please consult the mantage with any further questions that fit into the "making fun of people who are different" category, specifically ManLaw 13:
So no, I wasn't worried so much about this, or that, or that other thing. People are free to make their own decisions, even if they are kinda stupid.
My beef was more in this area:
More specifically, yeah, right there:
What you people failed to notice was the 2009 Fox 40 Limited edition World Championship fork. There were only 200 of those forks made. They might be the best downhill race forks in existence.
And it's being ridden on a freeride bike, on a ladder bridge.
While I realize that the substantially improved high-speed compression damping will really help this guy corner and brake as he is crawling at 10 mph or less on skinny little wooden stutter bumps, I feel like this fork might be happier in it's native environment; namely hauling ass at mach 10 over huge piles of rocks.
I realize that this person was supporting the sport and injecting much needed capitol into DH racing. In a small way, he might even have helped support the riding of Gee Atherton, Aaron Gwin, or even myself through his purchase. I realize that when people spend money, wisely or not, in the sport, it kinda benefits everyone.
But because I know that there are more than 200 Downhill riders in the world, maybe he could have saved that fork for, I don't know, maybe one of us?

NAM Girl Addison Graham is recognized as an Everyday Young Hero !!!
Everyday Young Hero: Addison Graham - Lakeville, MA
Submitted by NationalService... on Mon, 02/08/2010 - 15:06
Young Heroes Profiles in Service
Addison is a Girl Scout who does lots of volunteering and keeps busy with community service projects. Four year ago, as a Girl Scout, she rallied her troop to participate in a "One Warm Coat" coat drive - which she saw listed in a Girl Scout guide, of suggested community service projects. Early on it was clear that she would be a leader on this project, as she was excited to learn she could directly help the needy by connecting them with a warm coat - even one from her own closet. She is currently in her 4th consecutive year of doing coat drives and over the years, her efforts have helped connect hundreds of people with a warm winter coat that fits well and keeps them warm. This year, she collected approximately 200 coats/jackets and approximately 50 cold weather accessories. The items are distributed through a local homeless shelter for families, a facility for teen girls, local individuals and families, and other groups.
In addition to her work through her Girl Scout troop, Addison she stays involved with environmental projects. An avid turtle lover, she took notice several years ago to the danger turtles were facing, as they tried to navigate their way over a local roadway that travels through a wetlands area. She collected some information and submitted an application for an environmental grant to the local historical society. She was awarded the grant and those funds were used to purchase turtle crossing" signs for the town, to post on the roadway and warn motorists to watch for turtles. She continues to want to help protect the local turtle population - as she's currently trying to bring attention to local turtle species that are identified/classified as endangered on the state/federal level. Currently, she is actively working to have legislation passed to protect a local species which is listed as endangered on the state/federal level, and having it named as the Massachusetts State Turtle.
Through her commitment to service, she continues to help her neighbors in need and advocates for the protection of local ecosystems and animal species. For her efforts, we honor her as one of our Everyday Young Heroes.
To nominate a young person who has improved their community through service to be recognized as an Everyday Young Hero, please visit www.ysa.org/awards/hero

Amber Aduja 09-10 National American Miss Jr Preteen spreads cheer to Military Families !
M E D I A R E L E A S E
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
AMBER ADUJA SPREADS GOODWILL AND ALOHA TO TRIPLER ARMY MEDICAL CENTER PEDIATRIC WARD IN FURTHERANCE OF CATHOLIC SCHOOLS WEEK
On February 5, 2010, St. Ann’s Model Schools 5th grader Amber Aduja, National American Miss (“NAM”) Jr. Preteen Queen 2010, of Kaneohe visited the Tripler Army Medical Center (“TAMC”) Department of Pediatrics, in furtherance of her final day of the “Dividends for Life” themed Catholic Schools Week (February 1 – 5, 2010). The purpose of St. Ann’s Model School’s participation in the annual national Catholic Schools Week is to instill in their students a lifelong commitment to serving others. Through Amber’s continuous work with the Lokahi Giving Project, a Hawaii non-profit organization whose mission is to assist in-need families, and at-risk children and teens, she obtained University of Hawaii (“UH”) baseball caps to give to TAMC pediatric patients suffering from broken bones, cancer, leukemia or other illness or injury. At TAMC, Amber greeted its young patients and passed out UH baseball caps to in-patient children of the Pediatric Ward, their parents and siblings, and TAMC nurses and staff.
“It was a very rewarding experience to introduce myself to the children, their parents, and nurses; recite my NAM personal introduction to them and share my experiences as a national titleholder. It felt great to give then all UH baseball caps,” exclaimed Amber Aduja. “I hope I’ve spread the aloha spirit to our military families, especially for all their hard world peace and homeland security efforts and all the relief and development work that they are doing in Haiti,” Amber explains. “Their children can always use a cheerful visit and a gift every once in awhile to show our deep appreciation for all that their families do. All our prayers are with the military children as they recover. We wish them health and wellness,” Amber said.
“This was a very touching experience and I hope that my experience can serve as a role model for all students to make a lifelong commitment to serve others in our community,” Amber said.

What does National American Miss mean to YOU ???
National American Miss can be so many different things to NAM girls ! One of the best parts of my job is, that I get to hear different testimonies from girls all around the country !!! For many NAM is a way to meet new friends or maybe it's way for girls to build self confidence. For some NAM is a summer camp or a family getaway. For alot of girls NAM is way to prepare them for the future whether they want to be the next Disney star or maybe a Top Model or even one day run for political office. Whatever you want to be when you grow up NAM can help you achieve those goals. I love to see girls grow from year to year. I really consider it in honor to work with so many AMAZING young women across the USA! I can honestly tell you that my experience with NAM totally changed my life and it is really cool to see that change in so many girls ! NAM allows you to create family memories and challenges girls to be all that they can be !!! So I asked my facebook friends exactly what NAM means to them and here is what they had to say...
Here is the Question I asked on my Facebook Page:
Tiffany Saylor :Hey NAM girls and parents ... I have a question for you all. What does NAM mean to you ? and What is your favorite part about National American Miss ?
This is what NAM girls and Parents had to say :
Jen Swank Moser: NAM has very special deep meaning to us because it was the first thing my daughter, Lily was able to do activity wise after a year of NO activities....when she was diagnosed with a neurological disorder at age 5. We decided at the last minute to do it and she just beamed on stage. It was a HUGE boost to her self esteem. After a year filled with MRIs, EEGs, blood draws, hospital stays....it was amazing to have her so happy and excited about something. She also met her very best friend, Madeline, from doing the pageant and their family have since become like extended family to us.
My favorite part is introduction. When the girls get to really state who they are and what makes them them.
Although a close second is evening wear, after last year when my husband had just deployed to Iraq 2 weeks before and we had to find a close family friend to escort our girls, I know this year it is going to be a very sweet, sentimental, emotional moment to have him on stage in his uniform escorting our daughters.
Wow, that was a book! How about that Tiffany? LOL
Rosalind Marie Alifonso: Nam to me is an opportunity to come out of your shell. An opportunity to gain essential skills for career placement later on in life :) my absolute most favorite part about nam is the production number rehersal. all of us girls have soo much fun, and when we are learning the opening number we are all comfortable To make a mistake because it gives us all the opportunity to laugh and have fun with each contestant. Which is one of the best ways to build memories.
Charika Jordan:NAM means to me that us girls can be ourselves at pageants and not be something that were not and we dont have to act fake we can act like our normal selves. My favorite part about NAM is when i show up and i see everyone i know and get to meet up with everyone. I also like the final because we get to show off the cool things we lean that weekend.(:
Ace Orb: for me it means not any other occasions where i can met girls the same age as i am to befriend w/ them and get to know each other. it was such a pleasure to join NAM and sharing experiences w/ other girls. As for me the best part was practicing our choreography for the final, at that time we get to have a good time dancing and talking a lot of stuff about ourselves on break time.
Alla Jawarish: the best part of NAM is allowing girls to gain valuable experiences that will help them be successful in life, come out of their shells and do things that they wouldn't necessarily do, and of course all the friendships that the girls and us moms build. looking forward to another great year with NAM and to seeing old friends and meeting new ones:)
Amy Childs: Mikayla says!! It's Fun!!and She Loves all the new and old Friends she gets to see and meet!! She has learned so many valuable tools that she needs and will need in the future.. Interview, Spokesmodel, Talent, and so much more!! She says she is already preparing for South Texas 2010 and can't wait to see you!!
