We live in such a cynical world nowadays...

I hate how nowadays people tend to hate everything or try to make everybody else aware of their hate against stuff.
You know, how people like to criticize this and that. For example in games or movies forums, going voluntary to topics about things they hate and then "sharing" their hate there...
They're such attention whores.

But what do I hate more than those spammers/lonely kids? How uncool it is to like something now.

I have no problems saying I like a movie or a book, be it good or even bad.
What's wrong in liking something a bit amateurysh or badly executed?
Movie exemple: not every director has to be Coppola or Kubrick! We would end up with tons of well made movies but boring!! There's no problem liking a B-movie, not just blockbusters!

Usually what you would hear people say or write instead would be:
I liked it in some degree...
Or in a tongue-in-cheek way...
A bad movie that was cheesy but fun...

Why would you like something as a guilty pleasure?? Can't you just like it. Period??
Are you that affected by the other's perception of yourself?

Usually people will say about something that is commonly treated as bad that they like it, because it's so bad that it's good.
There's some problem with this "guilty" mentality. Like an entertainment masochist, you like stuff because you call them bad.
Can't you just admit that you like those? That they're good, in your opinion.
We don't have all the same tastes nor opinion!

Be yourself! Don't follow the others like some stupid bipedal media sheep!
Have your own opinions, dammit!!

This message was brought to you by Eyz.
Eyz, who actually likes the original live action Street Fighter movie, even if it didn't follow the plot of the games, didn't have a good plot either and had a pretty mixed casting. The film was fun, enjoyable and Eyz would rewatch it any day over any current modern blockbuster!

Don't act like the others just to fit in.
