Finally some material of the upcoming animated series based on the Tron franchise!

For several years, Disney never touched upon this franchise...apart from a very successful game in the 2000s and a lesser known comic series later.
And since Tron Legacy? WHAM! Tron everywhere!
While we await some Tron 3 (Yep!!!) informations on the future release of the Bluray&DVD of Tron Legacy, Tron Uprising shows it premises.
Disney will be airing a Tron cartoon during the Summer of 2012.
Uprising will focus on the Grid while Clu 2's revolting and conquering this digital universe before Sam Flynn arrived in the recent movie.
Oops. Huh...spoiler for Tron Legacy above? 'guess if you're reading this you already saw that one anyway :P
It will follow a new character called Beck (Elijah Wood) a program which will fight alongside Tron and Kevin Flynn.
The show will be done in traditional animation for the characters and most elements, and CGi for the Tronverse (Ha! new word right there! Let's copyright it before Disney!) and vehicles.
The show will be a contained 10-parter series and air in 2012. A preview of the show is set to premiere on the DVD and Blu-Ray releases of Tron Legacy on April 5, 2011.
