#E3 NEWS! 1st day recap

Not keeping an eye with that much attention at this year's E3 Expo.
Maybe it's because I'm easily spending much more time on retro consoles these days instead of your usual Xboxes, etc.
Or just because this year you have Microsoft announcing "such spectacularly" things as the Internet Explorer for the Xbox 360, or Nintendo and their Wii-U which will have "revolutionary" internet multiplayer gaming and HD graphics, or Sony and their "super original" Smash Bros crossover title and their "all original" motion controllers.
Anyway, there's some fun games that have caught my eye anyway.

First up Marvel released this following trailer of their own DC Universe Online MMORPG Marvel Heroes.
I will certainly be NOT playing it - it being an mmorpg 'n' all - but that doesn't stop me from having a look at this CGi trailer for now:



I hear some familiar voice actors for webhead and Wolvie. And I even got to see Deadpool in there, how cool is that?!

Namco just released an all-new impressive trailer for Tekken Tag Tournament 2.

I'm not really a big fan of the Devil May Cry series. I prefer my hack & slash-type of games old school.
But I will buy the "HD compilation" one of these days! Promise!

Anyway, this new reboot title DmC: Devil May Cry - which fans of the series have either been loving or hating it - does look intriguing.



From the folks behind the game Enslaved. So it will have a certain quality at least.

Gamin' NEWS! New #Capcom trailers straight from Captivate 2012

Capcom released some brand new trailers featuring their upcoming new "big" titles, at their very own private Convention, "Captivate 2012".
Check this out for some zombies, snow action and devils that might be crying...
First up his Resident Evil 6, finally revealed thanks to this (second) trailer!

RE6 which is looking quite promising so far.
Looking great and sheduled for October 2.
Amongst the new tidbits, it seems that the young Sherry Birkin from RE2 is making a comeback!

Next up is a surprise Lost Planet 3!

Whoaa... I wasn't expecting this one :P
I still have yet to play LP2, but I loved LP1, so I'm all for it.

This one's aimed for mid-2013. It's a return to the snowy planet, with a prequel story taking place before LP1. Exactly what fans were originally expecting from LP2, since everything seemed to point out that the story should focus on the father of the original game's protagonist at some point to explore the early days of the "lost planet".

And last but not least, it's the return of Capcom's Devil May Cry series, I series, I'll confess, I never tried until now but will probably catch on with the recently released "HD Collection" - with the "rebooted" DmC: Devil May Cry by the talented Ninja Theory studio (Enslaved).

I know fanboys are gonna rage about this one, but this feels pretty mysterious and intriguing. It might actually be quite a fun title!
Gameplay wise it does look great.
The story will either be some meta self-referential parody of the series or something gritty/emo-ysh.

Anyways, something worth keeping an eye on.

Gamin' NEWS! Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 Launch

 The FIGHT is ON!

 
Since the game Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 will be launched between today and Thursday almost everywhere, Capcom decided to finally release the last "Episode" Trailer, the 4th one.

And to annoy long time gamers (and fans) like me, they also announced right away the beginning of the DLC costumes (the game isn't even out yet!).
Yep that's right.
As you could see at the top of this post, the characters will have real proper alternate costumes (and not just color swaps)  in DLC format!

Anyway here's a better look at Classic Thor, Modern Steve Rogers, Norman Osborn Ironman, Classic Chris, Classic Ryu and huh, somethin' somethin' Dante. (I'm a classic gamer, duh!)

Opinions?
Well, Chris and Cap are pretty nice throwbacks (modern or old school). I guess Dante and Ironman will please both types of fans. Thor is pretty cheap though... And Ryu in his SF1 look is pretty awesome!

Announcing them so early means only one thing.
They're all already on the disc and we'll have to pay to use what we already own. And the color alternates are here to distracts us from the fact we have to pay for what you would unlock in a Mortal Kombat, Dead or Alive, Soul Calibur, Tekken, Virtua Fighter, etc..
