#TV News! The "Mysterious Cities of Gold" Sequel Series

Not long I posted the opening theme from the Japanese-French cartoon The Mysterious Cities of Gold (aka Les Mystérieuses Cités d'Or). (also known in English speaking countries as Esteban or Child of the Sun)

Coincidently, it has just been announced that this old anime from the 1982 is getting a sequel nowadays!

For some strange reason, dubbed "Season 2", it looks like this:

Woah! Looks like one of those great modern adventure point & click games developed in Europe these last couple years.
Which is kinda strange for a cartoon.
But I like the cartoony CGi graphics. Not sure I'll actually follow this, since I didn't like much the original show to begin with, but nice nonetheless.

So this 2nd season will air ~30 years after the original show? Hope they'll make this continuation which will pick up directly after the last of the original episodes newcomers friendly enough.

This will premiere in France on June 23.

#Gaming NEWS! Les Tuniques Bleues

One of my all time favorite bandes dessinées is finally getting its long overdue videogame adaptation.

Les Tuniques Bleues is a long running comic currently being maintained by its original writer Cauvin and the artist Lambil nowadays.

They had a first game adaptation in the 80s as North & South by Infogrames for Commodore, Atari ST, Amstrad and Dos.

It was a management & strategic type of game:

And this very same strategy game will be remade now in...

The new title is expected for PC, ipad and mobiles.

Here's something from a pretty old and obscure cartoon.
Something I actually disliked as a kid, but which had a pretty amazing opening theme song nonetheless.

It's from The Mysterious Cities of Gold - also known as Esteban or Child of the Sun- a 1982 anime, check this out:



Easily one of the best from the 80s.

I actually knew the "original" French version Les Mystérieuses Cités d'Or, original because this was actually Japanese-French production. Check it out as well:

Ad - Dreamcasts of all nations

Here's one of the various Dreamcast ads Sega did for the launch of their 128 bits system.
Various countries were represented in various little spots, this one's for France, and is probably my favorite.

Here's a random PSA/commercial that aired in France a while back.
It was a sort of humorous announcement, to justify the augmented cost of the taxes people in France had to pay for their highways or something...
(yeah even I am not sure, despite speaking French)

Anyway, it was quite, let's say, visual.
