It's been a long time since we last had a Dreamcast-related news post around....
The homebrew scene is still keeping the DC very much alive these days.
GunLord is finally available to buy!
It's a classic run'n gun game for the Dream, think Turrican, and is available on disc & cartridges for both Dreamcast and Neo-Geo AES & MVS.
It was developed by the German indie studio NG:Dev.Team and had been previously announced for this June 14.
It will now be available in a bunch of various versions, even limited and collector, for this Thursday 21. A regular, a limited, a Newcomer Bundle and finally a Double Bundle are available to order! I'll be sure not to miss out the "Dragon Box" version, for the 25.
To order the game, follow this link.

Ad - Dreamcasts of all nations
Here's one of the various Dreamcast ads Sega did for the launch of their 128 bits system.
Various countries were represented in various little spots, this one's for France, and is probably my favorite.
Silly caricatures, all in good fun! XD

VGR Blue Stinger
It's been a long time since I last posted up a survival horror game review.
(heck! I still haven't finished Resident Evil 5 as a matter of fact!)
Blame it on me playing a lot of them simultaneously at the moment.
I launched not long ago a game play of Blue Stinger and simply couldn't put the gamepad away....
From Climax Graphics/Activision/Sega
Also available on /
Type Survival Horror
Year 1999
Haaa, Blue Stinger. I can't think of this game without smiling.
Released as one of the Dreamcast's launch titles, and developed by the little creative team of Climax Graphics. It was also funded (and in Japan, published) by Sega as a killer app to sell their 128-bits console.
Blue Stinger was even released in some places, outside Japan, days before the Dreamcast was even available in stores!
It is a survival horror like there's been many other on the system after that.
But this is one was clearly more action oriented than designed around "horror" properly said.
What is this title about?

What is this title about?
It all started with a shooting star...
In a brilliant and pretty random storytelling fashion, the game opens up with a cinematic cutscene, starting out 65 million years ago, no less!
It was the era of the dinosaurs.
Then, a meteorite crashed near the Caribbeans and ended up an entire species across the globe. It was the extinction of those giant lizards.
Flash forward, "present day", in the year 2000.
And island was found where the meteorite struck originally.
Dubbed "Dinosaur Island". The Kimra Corporation founded various installations, including genetic laboratories and biotech research facilities on this island.
Ballad of the last rescuer~
2018.
You are Eliot G. Ballade, member of the Emergency Sea Evac' and Rescue team. ESER for short.
(the game loves acronyms, be prepared to see a lot of them!)
While Eliot was with his friend Tim enjoying his vacations and fishing in the ocean, another meteorite falls from the sky right on top of Dino Island. After a mysterious explosion, a dome of energy emerges and completely seals the island off the rest of the world.
Tim gets trapped inside the barrier, while Eliot's stuck with the island inside the dome.
Suddenly, a mysterious spirit-like creature takes the form of a Nephilim (a fictional creature). It helps Eliot get ashore.
What is this Nephilim, where does it come from and what are its intentions?
No time to get any answers, because Eliot finds bodies everywhere, everyone appears to be dead on the island. Some kind of monsters are roaming free on the land.
Dogs of War.
But you're not alone on this island!
Eliot meets this captain of the HMS Sienna, also stranded near the Kimra complexes.
With this Dogs Bowser who is actually a resident there, Eliot sets up to find what really happened on the night of Christmas on.....Dinosaur Island!
More action-adventure than horror/thriller, Blue Stinger is a survival horror unlike any other!
Fun, colorful.
It is also one of these very rare Christmas themed games.
Yes, you read me right!
Like Christmas NiGHTS before that, but unlike any other of these games either.
You see, Christmas as so very little to do with the plot. It just "happens" to take place at that time, like Die Hard in a way. Which just provides the settings with "Merry Xmas" posters, Christmas trees inside the market, though no snow around. (it is the Caribbeans afterall!)
The whole game looks lovely.
Almost cheerful because of that.
Christmas music jingles around the "once-populated" area, lots of lightning instead of the gritty settings of your usual Resident Evil...
The characters look nice enough, but the animations are sort of stiff (it's is an early Dreamcast title!). But the backgrounds entirely in 3D look like what Code Veronica would also switch to later on, look great! The environments are amazing and full of details!
What about the gameplay itself?
Come to daddy!
It is more action focused than your usual tension filled horror games.
You control Eliot, or Dogs, in fully explorable 3D settings. From a behind the shoulder perspective. (a gameplay change which Capcom would use and perfect in more recent Resident Evil games)
There's a lot of exploration and backtracking to do around the island.
Labs, markets, apartments, caves, parkings, etc.
Our characters respond to the stick perfectly, though they do run a bit awkwardly.
When unarmed (at the start of the game, or by using your short range weapon), the game sort of feels like a beat 'em all. Eliot karaté-punches his way through the monsters, Dogs is all about the heavier wrestling/sumo/etc. fighting styles.
There's literally dozens of weapons, covering a large and unexpected range of weapons. From the usual pistol, minigun, sword, triple-barreled shotguns, to the heavier rocket launchers, napalm launchers and even more difficult to get/more expensive/secret weapons like the laser gun, demolition gauntlets and a lightsaber!!
You can buy items, such as food and ammo from vending machines all over the place. Usually near saving machines and maps of the island.
To do so you need to collect money.
And that's where the fun begins!
The game is clearly designed to make your way through the masses of creatures you'll find there.
Most are designed like The Thing from John Carpenter's classic. These monsters here can be punched through, so they never present much trouble if you're prepared to face them.
Once defeated, they'll explode in a rain of blood, with a bunch of money flying out of them.
Which is great.
I mean, money was originally used in games to censor blood in retro games, while modern games normally went with blood for realistic purposes.
Having both is so unreal.. (something No More Heroes would copy much later)
Monsters respawn every time you come back, which money you'll quickly make big amounts of money pretty fast.
The smaller monsters, flying insectoids and running bugs don't give money, so they also don't respawn.
There's various giant creatures, huge bosses to defeat all over the game. You'll have to spend your ammo carefully depending on your foe.
The game meant a lot for Sega, so it doesn't come as a surprise to see Ryan Drummond (the original voice of Sonic on the Sega Dreamcast) as Eliot and Dogs Bowser voiced by Deem Bristow (aka the original Eggman).
Later on our heroes are joined by the mysterious Janine King, member of KISS (Kimra's security) who happens to be an expert shooter (she is voiced by Lani Minella). Janine is a non-playable character that helps our characters at various points of the story.
The voice acting might sound a bit silly, but it's actually pretty good in my own opinion. It is the characters that are over-the-top.
It's a game that doesn't take itself too seriously, with Dogs complaining about stuff all the time, Eliot hitting on Janine constantly despite the situation.
The whole game sort of feels like a movie.
A B-movie to be exact.
It has a great "action movie" soundtrack, the music really give this game a unique feeling.
According to the mood and places you'll visit, you'll hear more epic tunes, supermarket jingles, etc.
Even the sound aspect is worth mentioning, with great sounds made for each special effect, from the grunts to the footsteps.
It all sets up a great atmosphere.
All in all it is a very long game for the genre.
It is also the kind of experience you wanna revisit.
The game offers various unlockable features in true Resident Evil fashion.
From the usual unlimited ammo to new weapons, alternate costumes for our cast (above pictured costumes notwithstanding, the Santa suit is from a specific portion of the story) and some other funny modes ("big eyes",..).
It's a big epic crazy story featuring colorful characters and locations.
It all comes full circle in an epic conclusion like you rarely see usually.
Sadly, the adventure ends on a
To be continuednote, after the credits...
Overall, it's a fantastic experience and highly recommended title for all Dreamcast owners.
Simple and fun to play. Clunky animations and way to run aside, it's a charm to play~
Developed by (the sadly closed now) Climax Graphics studio, it's a very fun and quite original sort of free roaming Survival Horror set on a large open world you open gradually.
It certainly takes the genre into new heights and direction.
Instead of the usual gloom, gritty and dark Survival Horror, it is more fun, closer to an Action/Adventuretitle.
The goal here is quite simple. Explore bio-labs, tons of rooms and bigger open places on island, collecting keys, ID cards while going through hordes of monsters.
To do so you'll have plenty of crazy weapons to play with.
It is sort of like the Dead Rising of the Dreamcast.
I can't make a better comparison, gameplay wise.
Tons of monsters to fight, big open spaces including markets, a movie theater, etc. You regain your health by eating and drinking stuff. The story is quite over-the-top, not taking itself too seriously, and the game will have you run around all over this place, to help survivors and often under a countdown depending on the situation.
The original Japanese release deserves its own separate paragraph at the end of this present review.
The game was originally quite different from the western title we all know it now.
You see, it used an original cinematic styled camera system, kinda what you have in all classic Resident Evil games.
Instead of the 3rd person behind the character's shoulder, it was presented using a fixed view which changed dynamically. Closer to what Capcom did with Resident Evil: Code Veronica if you will.
But this posed a lot of troubles in action segments.
So Climax redid the whole presentation of the game for the American and European release, presented as the definitive edition of the game.
Enemies let also more money and the difficulty was made a bit more progressive too.
In a way, it's a pretty different experience with its own feel.
If you can, I recommend trying this one too, but it isn't the best and ultimate version of the game, the Pal/Ntsc-US is.
This Japanese version is fully dubbed in English. Besides Japanese subtitles, it's all the same as the other game (voice, menus, etc in English). My Pal port was only tweaked for better views and challenge.

Ad - Sega Dreamcast's Blue Stinger commercial [JPN] #2
While the previous ad I posted for the game was a pretty cliché straightforward ad for a videogame, this one takes it to a whole different level!
Enjoy the live appearances of the characters from the game, Eliot Ballade and Dogs!

AwesomeScenes from Blue Stinger - Bathtub break!
Still playing through Blue Stinger at the moment.
Here's a very random, yet awesome moment from the game, a little break from the carnage "Zombie invasion and monster all around" scenario...
You can stop the video at 4:20 once its back to the rest of the gameplay though...

VGR PoP3D Arabian Nights
And we're finally back with the Prince of Persia reviews~
You were waiting for my take on the Sands of Time trilogy? Well, next time!
We still have a trilogy to end before!
And in case you've missed it, here's quick links to:
- VGR PoP1
- VGR PoP2
(specially since I updated the look of those earlier reviews to match my current ones)
VGR: Prince of Persia 3D a.k.a. Arabian Nights
From Red Orb (Brøderbund)/Avalanche Software/Mattel
Also available as /
Type 3D Platformer
Year 1999
If you remember my PoP2 review, you know it was a game that got mixed reviews...
Some liked it, but the other half didn't.
The game left a strange impression..
So for a while, no more Prince of Persia games were developed...
Then, 10 years after the original, a sequel was finally made. It was gonna be another action-adventure platformer but this time, it wasn't a sidescroller...
The Prince is back. This time, he has polygones!! *dun dun duuun~*
The story takes place long after the previous episode.
The Prince is now living happy with the Princess of Persia.
One day, they go to see the Sultan's brother, Assan.
At the welcome party, the Princess is captured and the Prince is thrown into the dungeon...again...
The story is told every now and then by CGi scenes, which are holding up nicely compared to other games of the same year.
The Prince starts his journey, once again, from a cell in a dungeon...
Run, jump, climb, crouch...all in glorious 3D(TM) now!
This game was developed by Brøderbund, which evolved into Red Orb by the end of the 90s.
Yes, the same studio who ported PoP1 to every system of that era and who made PoP2.
So how does this all-new original PoP in 3D made from the scratch?
Pretty nice it seems.
I really like the 3D engine and graphics of this game.
The game looks and reminds me of those Tomb Raiders from Core Design. It has that same kind of 3D, character models and level design...except it looks cleaner, wider and a bit more Arabian Nights-y.
The aspect I liked the least about PoP2, meaning combat and dull level design, has been quite improved upon in this 3D installment!
The rooms are huge! The new areas have a ton to explore! There's a lot, and I mean like a ton of puzzles and enigmas!
And say goodbye to the random stupid fights of the previous game, it's back on duels! 1-on-1 swashbucklin sword fights!
With all the traditional precision and precise calculated platforming!
Graphically it doesn't look like the previous two games.
But gameplay wise, the experience is back to its roots.
The games require lots of attention on the player's parts.
You have to adjust your movements, your jumps, everything!
Brøderbund did really well their job this time around! The whole experience of Jordan Mechner's game is back.
Precision, difficult platforming were you'll die a zillion times, not because it's cheap but because of YOU the player!
Fight! The enemies are vicious~
The story is also quite interesting and brings up some nice twists here and there!
The Sultan promised the Princess' hand in marriage to Assan's own son, the Prince Rugnor. I won't spoil it here I you plan on discovering it by yourself, but let's just say it's very Arabien Nights tales-like.
And that is one of my favorite aspects of this game.
It goes back to the more magical-fantasy aspect. Flying cities, magical lakes, mystical creatures...
The music is also very well done. Not very present, but gives the perfect mood for this sort of tale!
You'll grab some new weapons alongside your journey and upgrades as well.
Keeping the on-going thema, you'll have more powerful magical swords, which will drain enemies lives and other effects. Different type of arrows. Magic potions to upgrade your lives, resplenish them or turn invisible...
Careful for the legion of hidden traps!!
So what is the catch?
Well, Brøderbund had financial problems back then.. They released an unfinished game on the market...and shut down not long after...
The game is kinda slow-ysh, has some issues and bugs...
I have no problem with its difficulty! Afterall, PoP games were never meant to be easy!
But it is an unfinished game! And it shows here and there! Though it doesn't mean the game's bad! (see another rushed game, ex: Crash Twinsanity) I've clearly seen worse rushed games (Sonic 2006...)
Not long after, Mattel, yes the toy maker, bought the game back and had a team finish it correctly.
This perfect final version was only released on the Dreamcast with a brand new subtitle: simply "PoP: Arabian Nights".
It changed lots of stuff.
Checkpoints were added for every little segment of levels. The game was correctly finished.
Better speed. Level design was edited and changed a bit. Blood and gore was taken out (sadly, but it doesn't affect gameplay and doesn't annoy me). Better gameplay, etc..
It really shows that this version was beta-tested!
Every room wants to kill you!! Run Prince, run!!
The Dreamcast game really fixed most things, but it's not the original experience anymore.
The shorter and divised levels change a bit the experience in my eyes...
Anyway, the game's very fun!
Quite challenging!
The combats are fun (blocking...attacking..sidestepping... feels like PoP1 all over again!)
The puzzles are great!
Its universe magic!
It really feels like the 3rd PoP, only in 3D this time!
The ending leaves the story a bit open ended...which would be "followed" by another developer...but we'll discuss that some other time~
Overall, I like this one better than part 2!
The team, Brøderbund, really got the best they could gameplay-wise.
It looks different but it feels the same. The Prince will follow the Princess all over Persia in this adventure.
The dungeon, the palace, the city, the streets, docks, caverns, the skies, in the mountains, another palace... whew! There's a lot to see! It looks part of the previous games' universe, there's some reminiscent scenery (specially the streets looking like in PoP2). Yet it goes a bit more into Arabian Nights territory.
I would recommend, to experience the whole experience, to really try playing both the PC version (with some bugs, problems, but longer challenging levels) and the Dreamcast version (the "corrected" version). But if you want or can only check one out, go for the Dream'!
My favorite part of this sequel might be its unique atmosphere and challenging platforming!
It's better than most Tomb Raiders in my eyes and a sadly underrated game in today's gaming culture...
(but back then, I used to see ads and reviews of this one all over the places! looks like people forgot about PoP3D :( oh well...)
I give it:

Gamin' NEWS! New Dreamcast SHMUP!
Announcing a new Dreamcast game!
What? How's that? A new "Dreamcast" game? In case you didn't know, the DC had lots of official and homebrew games released on it since it "retired" from the gaming scene!
Retro gamers, such as yours truly, love the DC and still support it!
Heck my Dream's still plugged into my screen and I probably played twice more DC lately than, say, the Wii...
Fast Striker will be released later this year, developed by NG:Dev.Team, already behind the excellent Last Hope.
They're a dev' team who makes Neo Geo and DC homebrew shoot 'em ups!
Here's a trailer:
and, huh, another one!!
It reminds me of some Saturn-era shmups, using 3D backgrounds like this.
(like Layer Section or something..)
You can check out the official site,
or preorder it already.
I can't wait to get my hands on yet another new Dreamcast game! :D

My Fighting Games Collection!
Hello folks!
Today, I wanted to post a pic of my fighting game collection, since I've been posting so much about the "fighting genre".
Collection as of today - pic taken July the 1st 2010~
This is here is my current collection of Fighting Games!
I'm a big fan of arcad-ysh games, and the fighting genre is one of my favs.
It's always fun to put on one of these with friends, my bro or just kick the ass of the CPU for a while whenever you want to blow off some steam.
I don't store non-arcady "kiddie" brawlers such games as Smash Bros, the Godzilla fighting games or DBZ games here, no sir! Not dishing those, but they'll be out of place in here!
Only the REAL fighters!
You can't really see everything from this pic :/
But this will give you an idea-
I'm kinda too lazy to list them all... so here goes... (click to see a bigger pic)
On the top shelf:
I have all the Mortal Kombats games (who are a bit underrated nowadays but are still pretty fun), one of the Read2Rumble (probably the best one, since the new one on Wii was so-so...), all Guilty Gears, all the Virtua Fighters+Fighting Vipers+Fighter Megamix (the Sega crossover), the complete Tekken & Soul series, the DoA games.
I have most Fightin' game-adaptations on DVD... (the less said about it the better..)
At the bottom_
Most, if not all, Snk & Capcom fighting games! I'm quite proud of that : P
My great collection^^
The Street fighter series, all the Vampire/Darkstalker games, the other 2D or 3D Capcom games (Rival School, Plasma sword...).
And the SNK ones. I'm a HUGE fan of SNK!
All the KoF games, Garou (that's the Fatal Fury games), the Last Blade games... Samurai Spirits, Art of Fighting & World Heroes games. And even the very underrated awesome SNK-collaborations, the 3 Sunsoft fighting games.
Most of my collection is on Pal format for the Mega Drive/Xbox/X360/Wii/Gamecube. (with excepetions...)
Only on Jap for the PS1/PS2.
And mix Pal/US/Jap for the Saturn & Dreamcast.
That's it!
(I'll try putting some review, comment or views on some of those titles~)

VGR Resident Evil CODE: Veronica
Here's a new Dreamcast review to start off this week!
Finally back to this classic Capcom franchise~
And in case you've missed them or wanted to have a look at those, here's my previous RE reviews:
VGR Resident Evil 1
VGR Resident Evil 2
VGR Resident Evil 3
From Nextech/Capcom
Also available as Code: Veronica X on Dreamcast, PS2 & Gamecube
Type Survival Horror
Year 2000
Co-developed simultaneously alongside Resident Evil Nemesis, Code: Veronica was supposed to be the real follow-up to Resident Evil 2 while Nemesis was supposed to be only a side story.
Nextech was working on REC:V for Capcom, being the same team that adapted the original Resident Evil to the Sega Saturn in the past.
This game was originally a Dreamcast "exclusive". It was the next evolution of the Resident Evil classic formula....
It was perhaps changed to REC:V instead of having the number 3 in the title, maybe because it was an exclusive title for the Dreamcast (which, sadly, wasn't doing pretty well in America). Nemesis was changed into RE3 (even if it was a kinda sidestory) for being on the more accessible Playstation... Anyway, let's have a look at this one, shall we?
Claire is back with a badass attitude! Oh, and there's that other dude tagging along....
Being the first RE developed for a 128 bit system, the engine was finally upgraded while the controls remain "classic RE".
Code Veronica doesn't use the usual pre-rendered pictures in the background anymore. But instead, the whole game is running with a 3D engine, which allows for more dynamic cinematographic shots (following the character, zooming, etc..).
The whole game looks fantastic!
The CGi cutscenes are pretty good and quite epic. (probably better than the actual live RE movies!)
The characters and zombies are finally a lot more detailed and for 2000 it's a pretty beautiful looking game!
The plot follows Claire Redfield, from Resident Evil 2, while she was in Paris trying to find her brother in some secure Umbrella facility... Stuff goes bad... She ends up in a private Umbrella island infested with a new zombie invasion... Here we go again~
Enters Steve-
On this island, Claire's mission is to understand just what the hell is going on there, finding clues about her brother's implication and escaping from that place. There, she meets Steve Burnside.
I know some RE fanboys/girls (mostly girls) will probably disagree with me...but Steve is the least charismatic RE character ever (in my eyes)! He's kinda weird, badly written and...huh...stop hitting on Claire you emo!
Seriously, though, their "relationship" is a bit weird to look at. They seem to form a brother-sister relationship and Steve continues to hit on her during the whole game!
Anyhow!...
The game consists of two discs once again.
The first part will have you play from Claire's point of view.
You're exploring a deserted island (not really...there's like a hundred+ zombies running around and other monsters!), the facilities there, piecing the larger plot bit by bit and you'll make an attempt-escape to end up in some other bizarre location (don't worry, I won't spoil it to you here!).
At some point, you'll play as Steve to help up Claire in a difficult moment.
Then, on the second disc/part, you''ll play with Chris Redfield, yep, from Resident Evil 1.
It starts at one third from the other disc's ending, you'll explore more of the same with some nice twists on the locations, join the other character.
Another "character interlude", this time with Claire during Chris' gameplay.
And the ending will have you glued to your controller!
How we missed you Chris, you crazy gameplay-handicapped videogame character!
The story is pretty clever, even if it still is far fetched, over the top much like any other Resident Evil game.
The game is still controlled by that 3rd person overall point of view, like previous games, but a bit better than previous episodes (better changement of angles from screen to screen, use of 3D camera movements...).
Being developed alongside RE3Nemesis, it keeps all previous gameplay add-ons, such as quick turns, upgradeable handguns and more, while adding new elements like dual pistols (targeting multiple enemies).
This time the game runs on a fully 3D background, some weapons can be used with a 1st person perspective to better aim! It's a truly neat aspect but never really exploited, which is kinda sad.
Finishing this game won't unlock the usual Mercenaries/Arcade mode this time but Battle Game mode. Which is a simplified version of that Mercernaries mode in previous games. You'll go from room to room, killing waves of monster in the shortest time you can. Pretty fun to use your 1st person view there!
(many characters can be used in this mode, like Albert Wesker, the big bad guy of the franchise)-
Introducing the shooter feature to the RE franchise! Don't like it? It's not like we won't see it again in a RE game...
Resident Evil Code: Veronica is a pretty challenging game, a true sequel to RE2 following the original game's plot and exploring new ideas.
While I was kinda disapointed by RE3 "sidestory" aspect, Code: Veronica is a pretty long adventure this time around.
It plays better than the previous games (still that clunky aspect, but it is the reason why I love playing these games afterall!), looks & sounds better and it's a very deep experience!
Overall, it's a fantastic experience! A must have for any Dreamcast owner!
The game was later re-released on the Dreamcast first and then the PS2 & Gamecube under the new name Resident Evil CODE: Veronica X.
CODE: Veronica X was in fact a little update to C:V, because you know, hey it's a Capcom game, and Capcom loves updating their games!
This new version changed some little parts of the game ("Claire's poisoning" sequence) and had editedsome parts of the CGi scenes. Oh, and Steve changed his face/hairstyle, because people kept comparing him with Leonardo DiCaprio. Don't believe me? Look at this:
But the experience is mostly similar.
Though I still recommand playing this one on the Dreamcast, since the real original version was the Dreamcast version.
CODE: Veronica is a much complete/better version than CODE: Veronica X.
(harder, maybe, but as it was intended to be!)
My favorite RE game in the whole franchise probably!
And even Steve's strange comportement to Claire won't affect my overall respect/love for this game!

NEWS! Almost E3...
E3, the annual Electronic Entertainment Expo, will kick in on June 14.
I'm hoping for some surprises to be announced at that event.
Anyway, I will be following the event from various gaming websites, being in Europe far away, etc..
Let's have a little recap of some new stuff of the day.
But first, a little "movie-related tidbit".
There's a little sneak peak at the new Marvel coming soon Movies posters floating around the web.
Well, more the fonts/logos used for both movies than the entire posters.
I like those! They stay true to the original comics while having that little "shiny movie logo" look going on.
The Cap' movie changed title once more, it's now "Captain America: The First Avenger"...
Okay, that's all for movies this time, gaming now!
It is now offically confirmed that Dreamcast games will be made available for the current gen through their online downloads...
Excellent news for new players.
But not really interessant for gamers like me who probably already own both Sonic Adventure and Crazy Taxi on the DC (the only ones announced for the moment).
Plus the DC on an HD tv already looks pretty neat.
I'd say, bring on the more obscure games, give a chance to new gamers to actually play some underrated and less known original DC games! If they only release the more platform-released ones like Crazy Taxi, SA1&2, Chuchu rocket and even forgot to offer the online capabilities of most Dreamcast games... it will be such a shame :(
Finally the trailer to the new (last?) Mortal Kombat game is available!!
Now, I know MK games don't have a good rep' with the current gamer generation.. but they aren't that bad!
They're just, not blockbuster games! They never were in fact...
The MK franchise is pretty fun, not perfect and mass loved from the mainstream audience, but it's fun!
And isn't the "fun" the main goal for entertainment?
Anyway, here's the trailer:
Duuuuuude!!
From what we know of the game.
-It will be a R Rated very gory new game! (MK vs DC was censored in America, but not in Europe :P)
-It will be played in full 2D like MK1to3 and not in 3D like MK4toMKvsDC
-Many combos, new fatalities and a more old school approach to this game
I'll guess this one will turn out pretty fun! Let's hope it sells well. The future of the franchise and Midway (now a part of WB games) is in this one!!
Do you remember Pac-Man anniversay, not long ago, when google changed their logo?
There's been mostly a positive reaction from that playable Pac-Man google logo.
But also some people who complaint because the game played and made noises and such... (you see, that type of angry joes who always complain about everything!...)
There's been a funny reaction, a complaint-phone video, around youtube lately.
Listen, funny story XD
Finally, a non-gaming news!
The Phantom is back!
That's right, that good ol' pulp comic-strip hero!
SyFy resurrected the Phantom for a 4-hour mini-series in two parts.
It will air in America on June 20 but is already available in some places in Europe on dvd (!!).
Here's the trailer:
It is supposed to work as either a little movie and as a future pilot, if it's successful enough, for a future new tv series!
So many superheroes shows lately...
Anyway, that's all for now!~

Wouldn't a masked Phantom be more recognizable marketable choice?
