Here's some video game news for the day.
Exclusively, fighting game-related.
And also..
related.
Remember that new upcoming Soul Calibur V?
Yes, it was revealed a little ago.
Well, here's a proper first look at it, thanks to the newly revealed trailer:
And two first artworks:
The art style seems pretty close to the past recent games.
The tone is still here.
Siegfried looks older, as the pitch let us guess he would.
For recap, the game will take place 17 years after the previous ones, is aimed for a 2012 release. The main character will be Patroklos (the guy above Siegfried here), the son of Soul series veteran Sophitia.
The game will have a cast of about 30 characters it seems, mostly new faces and some returning veterans.
On Tekken's side, here's Tekken Tag 2 introduction!
Looking good!
And fun!
For some reason (imitate something from Dead or Alive 4?) Julia Chang, long time Tekken veteran, will be participating under a masked disguise...?
And Namco announced they were going to make their own Tekken movie!
Not like the recent Hollywood live one, but CGi animated, like Capcom did with Resident Evil.
This CGi animated movie will be titled Tekken: Blood Vengeance.
Here's a first look at it: [in japanese]
