#MusicBOX - Doctor Who Theme Rock Mix Extended

This is without a doubt my favorite take on the Doctor Who Theme.
This guy, Believethelie2004, also has another more recent take on this theme on his youtube channel, though I prefer the following one:

It's a pretty catchy memorable theme to begin with, but I just love this rockin' cover!

#MusicBOX - Ray Parker Jr. "GHOSTBUSTERS"

Okay, so I probably already posted this on the blog already once...but..who's keeping track anyhow?

When something's strange...in the neighborhood...

WHO YOU GONNA CALL??

I felt like listening to this awesome classic catchy tune~
Yeah, one of those days again...
It helps me through the day! :)

#MusicBOX - Crush 40 New Songs Preview

Sonic Generations might have an actual rockin' theme song like modern Sonic games, but that didn't stop Crush 40 - June Senoue's rock band, composer of most Sonic soundtracks - from writing this "Anniversary" song.

Entitled Sonic Youth / One Of Those Days / Rise Again, here's a preview!

Rockin'! :D

#MusicBOX - Jonathan Coulton - Je Suis Rick Springfield

Here's one of the great songs from Jonathan Coulton's recent album.
Funny and catchy, it's "Je Suis Rick Springfield", with lots of fake awful-sounding fake French the way I like it :P

#MusicBOX - Beach Boys - I Get Around

The week's almost over!
It's Rock 'n' Roll time!

Here's one of my all-time favorites from the Beach Boys!

I could watch this clip on repeat for days!~
Music videos were so much simpler and nicer back in the Golden Days of Rock^__^

Guyz Nite - Die Hard

Did ya guys hear, apparently there's gonna be a new Die Hard?

And it will be titled A Good Day to Die Hard and is aiming for a Valentine's Day 2013 release date.
Max Payne director John Moore is currently signed to direct it...which doesn't sound good if you ask me.
Why does Fox insist on being cheap? Can't they hire a real director?
Not necessary bring back John McTiernan, but at least a good action films veteran.
Someone that could get an award or something, not another one of those noobs that is on his 1st/3rd film only....

I quote:
The film is said to involve John McClane and his son heading to Russia.
Okay... We'll see how this turns out, at least it sounds better (even if cliché) than the mess of a plot of the 4th one... (cyber-hackers taking over Washington...really?... -sigh-)

Anyways, here's the fantastic epic song by Guyz Nite that brought my love for the series back despite what the 4th movie did to me after its theater release! (need I repeat the above paragraph??)

Rockin' Hard, John McLane style!
Yipee ki yay motherf****r!!

Update! (since this honestly doesn't require a new post) Here's a first pic of the upcoming Die Hard 5 aka A Good Day to Die Hard:

It's Jai Courtney as John McClane’s Son, John Jr.!

Here's a fun lil' music video by the guys at the youtube channel.

Outcast Studios - LIVE DRAW NIGHT March 2012

http://outcaststudios.com/forums/
It's that time again...

This Sunday night was held another one of our usual LIVE DRAW NIGHT drawing jams at the Outcast forums.
Our quarterly Jam session featuring 4 hours of non-stop drawing.
As before, I kept my Twitter account updated all the way through the challenge.

It was fun, it was crazy, lots of neat fun art were produced by all who entered the jam!
Here's my usual blog-recap of the evening.
You can have a look at my past entries in these following posts:
- LDN February 2011
- LDN May 2011
- LDN September 2011
LDN December 2011

Let's dig into these drawings produced by yours truly, shall we?
HOUR ONE
It consisted in a series of 5 minutes quick sketches to warm things up.

The LDN was going strong already!
Here's Hellboy, in all his chum glory.

Bow, mortals, before the fantastic Galactus!

Someguy called Briareos apparently...

Catwoman's turn now!

And finally, Daredevil!

HOUR TWO
Two 25 minutes sketches, using both two different set of proposed characters and then reimagined as "ROCKSTARS".

So I simply took STEEL.

...and here's Black Canary!

HOUR THREE
25 min per sketches - using proposed characters and a little gimmick rule.

First one was to make your own Amalgam character using 2 of the first proposed characters.

So I took Booster Gold and Jubilee and made "Booster Lee"!! XD
'didn't came out half bad, if ya ask me~

Jubilation Lee Carter, aka Jubilee Gold!!
A sparkly mutant in search of fame and fortune in the past.

This second one was a gender bended character.

I took Adam Strange, though I prefer to consider this to be Alanna Strange in a similar costume personally~

HOUR FOUR
Remembering a Legend: Moebius

RIP Moebius
To end the night, we got to pay our respects to the passing of this comic book artist, we had a little homage to Moebius to come up with.
A 50 minutes drawing.

'Went with this tribute of Arzach/Moebius.

~

And that's all folks!
Hope you enjoyed 'em all!

The next one will be in June (sadly..).
Another fun practice session, and fun time.
You can join in the jam at the outcast studios.

Good Night everybody!~

MusicBox - Music Hits from the 80s

Today I got some very redundant mechanic job to do (classify and put in order into various files documents for the marketing team, at work).

And what best to do than to listen to great music songs from the 80s?
I love the music from the 80s.
Thanfully, this guy on youtube - Fabmatuu - has put up some epic videos on his youtube channel.
He compiled the best music hits from various years.
My favorites are, no doubt, the hits from the 80s, being born in the middle of those years. I grew up with those songs, be it on TV or in the movies that came out around that time and used to play on TV (I wasn't watching movies on theaters, I didn't start going there much later, most movies I seen as a kid like most people where those that used to play on TV...which brought me the culture of the 80s, be it with such classics as Terminator, Back to the Future, Ghostbusters, etc.)

Anyway, this dude also compiled hits from the late 90s and most of the years 2000s..but it just doesn't do it to me anymore. Besides one or two fun rock songs, like those from the Offspring or such, most random pop songs, rap, etc.. I can't stand it! There, I said it!

Without further redo, here's his hits compilation. Be sure to check out his channel for more similar videos!

1980 - 1981 Music Hits

Pink Floyd - Another Brick In The Wall
AC/DC - You Shook Me All Night Long
Michael Jackson - Rock With You
John Lennon - Starting Over
Soft Cell - Tainted Love
AC/DC - Back In Black
Kim Carnes - Bette Davis Eyes
Olivia Newton John - Physical

1982 - 1983 Music Hits

1984 - 1985 Music Hits

1986 - 1987 Music Hits

1988 - 1989 Music Hits

What can we note from all this?
There's cult Michael Jackson songs every year. He was starting to make and more memorable songs! His skin was also getting lighter every year (!!?) XD
Lots of timeless songs released, including my favs such as Dexy's Midnight Runners' Come On Eileen, but there's also for tastes and colors, from Metallica, Bon Jovi, Guns N' Roses, Rick Astley, etc.

I love the fact I know most if not all of these songs.
Can't say the same for more recent years personally :P

I can so easily listen to this on repeat :P

And that is it~

Music - Still Alive cover by Roomie

Here's a neat find of the day.
Portal's Still Alive ending theme song by some dude named "Roomie".

Okay it starts a bit slow and the guy looks like a douche kinda (sorry Roomie!) but the song is pretty darn catchy. Love the rythm and his rockin' voice!

Check this out:

Awesome!
Exactly what I needed to wake me up one this week's debut sleepy morning.
