Brisco County Jr. was a pretty awesome, if short live, fun scifi/weird western show featuring Bruce Campbell.
It was pretty awesome and was full of badass moments like such:
Classic :D

Banned Nike horror movie spoof commercial
Here's an cult banned Nike commercial.
It's not one of the most well known banned ads so I'll put it here on the blog for the ones of ya who might have missed it "back then".
Great little homage/parody to the slasher genre :P
Banned not because of copyrights or anything "serious" like that. They just thought it was too scary for their audiences... -sigh- °__°

ComicPageOfTheWeekend: Hi there, Pimply Face!
Gaming NEWS! KOF13 Announcement Trailer + news
The King of Fighters XIII is finally coming to home system in the fall.
There's been a couple news regarding this (long awaited) title (at least, by me :P).
It will have over 10 modes (!!), all returning characters from KOF12, a better more suited engine (faster and more precise, 12 as the first KOF in HD was a let down on that regards..)
A soundtrack will be made available with the game. (I'm hoping for a "collector's edition" in Europe :P) covering the 15 years of the series, on 4 CDS!
This version of the game will also had several character over the already perfect roster of the Arcade edition. Like "Classic" Iori! (I know my bro will at least dig this part of the news)
And here's the new trailer:
Here's Rising Star Games official pitch for the game:
Can't wait for this one! (much more than, say, Ultimate MVC3! I'm 100% SNK in my heart~)

"The King of Fighters is the flagship series of legendary fighting game developers SNK Playmore. The series is a dream festival of 2D fighting and a household name in the genre. The King of Fighters XIII features fighters from the entire history of the series and concludes the Ash Saga storyline. Hugely improved features include global online play with optimised broadband and priority seeding. There are now over 30 characters to choose from and fan favourite Mai returns. Vast improvements have been made to gameplay with new NEO MAX super moves, faster gameplay and camera control."Awesome! :D

The Fonz Jumps the Shark
Here's a classic cult moment, totally out-of-context and random and which gave a name to a whole "trope".

Best ever.
Sure, read the post about Brian Lopes below, but just make sure you watch the Crankworx Slalom video again. Watch until at least 2:05 to view the best beer bong in the country in the world. We are seriously considering inducting Bob as the newest member of Team Robot.
Serious Team Robot material. Bob is definitely gunning for World Champion Superfan status.
Team Robot:: Best in the country in the world
Quick dialogue from this video from Crankworx Slalom:
Announcer Brett Tippie to DBBL55 (Douche Bag Brian Lopes 55)
"So Brian, how do you feel about this contest?"
DBBL55:
"Well first of all, Brett, this is not a contest. This is a race."
Well DBBL55, here's what my buddies Merriam and Webster had to say about your little english lesson up at Crankworx:
con·test
noun \ˈkän-ˌtest\
Definition of CONTEST
1: a struggle for superiority or victory : competition
2: a competition in which each contestant performs without direct contact with or interference from competitors
Well now, I'm not exactly a genius, but I tend to think when two people in separate lanes race each other head to head from a fixed start line to a fixed finish line to determine the victor, that's pretty much a contest.
See DBBL, the thing is, it's a bike race AND it's a contest. It can actually be both. See, DBBL, not all contests are races, but all races are contests. It's kind of like squares and rectangles.
While it's true that not ALL rectangles are squares, it is also true that all squares are rectangles. I know, it can be hard to keep track of all these details.
Also, if you really want to be specific DBBL55, Crankworx Dual Slalom wasn't just a race. It was a bike race. Here's what Merriam and Wesbter had to say about that:
bike race
noun \ˈbīk\ \ˈrās\
Definition of BIKE RACE
1, A contest where a bunch of people come together to have fun and hang out. Typically, racing also occurs.
2. A contest that is totally less important and noteworthy than a real race like Lemans, the Kentucky Derby, or even NASCAR.
3. A contest where none of the participants will ever be well known by the general public or make significant money unless their name is Lance Armstrong.
4. A contest where no one really gives a shit except the participants.
So, DBBL55, Dr. Robot recommends you take several doses of a very effective, experimental medicine that I have been recommending to many of my patients:
Just kidding, Dr. Robot only prescribes one orally-ingested medication to humans:
Fun tip: To do a killer Brian Lopes imitation, plug your nose and then talk about how you and Peaty go way back.

TV Show NEWS! Mutation in Progress
At this year's Comic Con ("ComicCooooo~n!!") there was a special booth outside the event for a TMNT mini-events were some people were shown some footage and models of the characters for the upcoming new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon.
Did I say cartoon? I mean "CGi-cartoon".
Anyway, not much was leaked out.
So here's some pic of the characters at least:
They look quite simple stylistically. Not sure how well this well translates once animated...
And here's some pics of the event itself, from far outside:
And that is all I guess~

GUTİ BODRUM KUUM OTEL'DE
Şike soruşturması sebebiyle liglerin ertelenmesi futbolculara yaradı. Yaklaşık 10 gün izin verilen Beşiktaşlı futbolculardan İspanyol Guti Hernandez de soluğu Bodrum'da aldı. Guti Hernandez dün öğle saatlerinde Bodrum'un en iyi otellerinden Kuum Otel'in beachinde görüldü. Yanında iki erkek arkadaşıyla koyu bir sohbete dalan Guti Hernandez bol bol güneşlenip denizin keyfini çıkardı. Yanında kız arkadaşı Noelia Lopez'in olup olmadığı bilgisi ise henüz elimize ulaşmadı.
SPOILER! Watch the ending of Captain America!
Marvel did it!
The officially released the ending of Captain America: The First Avenger!!
What gives?!
I suppose it's to hype the upcoming Avengers movie, what with the glimpse of things to come and future Avengers team on screen for the first time...
Marvel spoiling the ending of the movie while lots of us still haven't seen it?!...couldn't they have waited like a month or two?? Really?
I see they're applying their method from the comics (spoiling stuff too early...all the time...death of characters, returning ones, plot threads, etc..)
Note: Shouldn't Cap be in his costume while appearing in NY, esthetically speaking? I mean here, it just looks like Chris Evans running around in the city, kinda lost for some reason. Had he been in costume it would have looked a lot more like the guy was lost in time/teleported/etc..?!

"Was it a good idea to officially release this?~" asks G-Man from the ComicVine

FanFilmFriday: Rejected Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 Characters
Here's a random parody done by the crew at TheGameStation.
You're sad Megaman didn't make the cut over Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3?
Here's a "behind the scenes" you don't expect your favorite characters to make for these sort of roles:
Yup!
And that's pretty much it :D

Blue & Gold Super Hero Figurines
Now, I've never been one to collect "figurines" per say.
For one, it is a sort of big investment for those who consider themselves "collectors". And I'm always on a pretty strict budget and all.
And you also need lots of place to pose these kinda figures around your place. And since most of my place is occupied by games/books/movies already...
Also I tend to prefer the actual media than its merchandising.
Aside from the occasional McFarlane toys bought yeaaaars ago, I have almost little to no super heroes hanging around. Now, I've always wanted to at least have a Booster Gold and/or Blue Beetle.
Since I live in the middle of Europe, getting actual official DC Directs figures was pretty out of question. Finding a Batman or Green Lantern in the local comic book store is easy. But when you're a fan of the C-Lister or D-Lister heroes, forget about it!
By chance there's this European collection of superheroes figurines produced & published by eaglemoss.
Now, my uncle's bought lots or almost all of them. (<- if you wanna see some pics of this, just ask!)
But I manage to at least grab a couple of characters I like for m'self.
For this time, here's just Booster Gold and Blue Beetle!!
What I like about these figurines it's that unlike the action figures you usually get with super heroes, these are well crafted and don't take much space in a collection. They're small-sized hand-painted and weigh enough not to drop off your desk.
Or you can, like, keep them in their original boxes which is transparent enough to showcase the characters.
The level of details' been pretty impressive and the colors beautifully rendered, specially on the DC Heroes.
Oh, wait, didn't I tell you, there's also a Marvel Heroes line.
There's currently almost 200 Marvel figurines out. (counting special big sized figurines like Galactus, Rhino..)
DC Comics started its line much later, and is only now reaching its 100 figurines now. (with its specials non-numbered ones as well)
They come out one at the time. People have to either subscribe or go buy them each 2-3 weeks at the newsstand.
They're pretty cool, right?
Enjoy them in their full glory:
I personally don't plan on buying lots of others...
(though my brother wants to collect the whole Shadowpact gang)
They always come with a little magazine that presents the characters, with a little bio of the character, his allies and enemies, etc..
I just couldn't not have the Blue & Gold duo! (though the whole JLI...mmmh..)
I like how they don't just make the big characters that appeared on cartoons/movies/videogames/whatever.. There's plenty of B and C-listers showcased in this series!
Badass shot for the finale?!
Aaaaaand one more to go:
If you liked these, be sure to check out this French guy's website, featuring his collection and all the latest updates regarding this collection.
I'll probably make more posts about these if you guys and gals demand it!
