#Drawing - Beware the Jabberwock!

And because I'm a big Adam Strange fan and I absolutely adore his Assassin's Creed-esque take on Young Justice...

“Beware the Jabberwock, my son! The jaws that bite, the claws that catch! Beware the Jubjub bird, and shun, the frumious Bandersnatch!”

His last name is Strange

#E3 NEWS! 2nd day recap part 1

Time for a bunch more news and trailers regarding upcoming games!

First up, some actual footage of that ZombiU I posted about yesterday.

Get More: GameTrailers.com, ZombiU - E3 2012: Exclusive Gameplay Walkthrough (Stream), PC Games, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360

The gameplay is looking pretty neat!

Get More: GameTrailers.com, ZombiU - E3 2012: To the Nursery Gameplay (Cam), PC Games, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360

It does really looks like a nice mix between Dead Island and Dead Rising, like I wrote yesterday.

And looking quite nice, to boot!

~

It seems the WiiU will be getting mostly late recycled titles. Assasssin's Creed 3, Mass Effect 3 (only 3s? no ME1 or 2?).
I dunno why but I don't imagine a new audience getting the same game later on. I'm pretty sure 99% of people buying ME3 for Wii u will already have play through it = ME fans buying yet another release.
Specially since it's the last part of the story without both ME1 & 2...

Anyway amongst these is a re-re-release of Batman: Arkham City Armored Edition.
Are people still interested in re-getting this one? Specially with the "Game of the Year: Edition" recently, doesn't everyone already own Batman?

The game seems to be mostly identical, besides some gimmicks that will use the controller-screen of the WiiU.
Beside, you can get the game in bargain bins pretty cheap most everywhere, not counting the cheap steam version for PC!

~

On Capcom's side, check out this kickass trailer of the upcoming Lost Planet 3!

Omega Force, the guys who made most of the Dynasty Warriors for Koei, and Sword of the Berserk: Guts' Rage for Eido, will be making another Hokuto no ken game!

The original game was mindless fun and pretty cool, but didn't it already cover the entire story?

Simply titled Fist of the North Star: Ken's Rage 2 it sounds like more of the same kinda fun.

I can imagine this using inspiration from the "expanded universe" other continuations of the story, though I'd prefer to see some original story like that first Berserk game.

~

Speaking of Omega Force, that isn't all they're up to these days!
A One Piece beat 'em all game is also coming up this one published at Namco.

Though it will be a PS3-only title. (awwww... can we hope for an Xbox port either in the US or here in Europe? pwetty please with sugar on top?)

Dubbed One Piece: Pirate Warriors in the US and not Luffy's Rage like I expected, this One Piece: Kaizoku Musou is coming up for November this year.
And here's a new trailer:

Even though I won't be getting this, it does look pretty good.

More coming up in a few!~

#Gaming NEWS! #DC characters fight each other...AGAIN!

What a random surprise Warner Bros. just announced!!

Warner announced an upcoming title developed by NetherRealm Studios slated for 2013 and it is called....

"Injustice: Gods Among Us".
which will be an all-new fighting game from the Mortal Kombat developers.
What a twist!
This new random title will have the likes of the Trinity (Bats, WW, Supes) and The Flash facing off against such villains as Harley Quinn and Solomon Grundy!
...Huh, random?!
Nice to see 'em use a random title like this.  (and not, say, "Batman & co: Fighting Superstars!!" XD)

But, guys, don't you nromally do these random proprieties-inspired fighting games to build an audience for a crossover? You already did Mortal Kombat Vs. DC! ~
(you know, like X-Men -> X-Men Vs. Street Fighter, Marvel Super heroes -> Marvel Vs. Capcom)

Anyways, the game will be shown more clearly at this year's E3.
Ed Boon explained how the game will use two main categories of characters, the power-users and the ones with gadgets.

Here's some character designs, which seem to take some clues from the current comics "New 52" (specially Supes) :

(pants on Wonder Woman? "Odyssey" anyone?)

Justin Gray and Jimmy Palmiotti will apparently be writing the plot here. (a plot? in my fighting games!?)

And here's the official trailer:

#BestOf Perry White yelling at Kent

Another classic Perry White video!
From the classic black & white TV serial this time!

Great Caesar's Ghost!
The Chief sure loves to yell at Kent, heh?

#TV News! #Arrow official trailer

Did I forget to post this?
Anyway, after the first clip, CW just released an official trailer for the upcoming Green Arrow series simply titled Arrow.
And it looks great so far!!

Fantastic!
I'm so pumped out for this!
I really can't wait for the pilot.
I'm okay with a more Batman Begins-ysh take on Ollie, heck that's not that far from the 80s Mike Grell run on the book.

Hopefully this last for more than a seaon...

#TV News! First look at #Arrow

The CW has just released the first footage from the upcoming all-new Green Arrow series.
Check this out.
This new series will introduce us to a more Batman Begins-ysh take on Oliver Queen. And despite being on the same channel, it won't tie-in with Smallville.

Here’s the official pitch from the network's press release:

After a violent shipwreck, billionaire playboy Oliver Queen was missing and presumed dead for five years before being discovered alive on a remote island in the Pacific. When he returns home to Starling City, his devoted mother Moira, much-beloved sister Thea, and best friend Tommy welcome him home, but they sense Oliver has been changed by his ordeal on the island. While Oliver hides the truth about the man he’s become, he desperately wants to make amends for the actions he took as the boy he was. Most particularly, he seeks reconciliation with his former girlfriend, Laurel Lance. As Oliver reconnects with those closest to him, he secretly creates the persona of Arrow - a vigilante - to right the wrongs of his family, fight the ills of society, and restore Starling City to its former glory. By day, Oliver plays the role of a wealthy, carefree and careless philanderer he used to be - flanked by his devoted chauffeur/bodyguard, John Diggle - while carefully concealing the secret identity he turns to under cover of darkness. However, Laurel’s father, Detective Quentin Lance, is determined to arrest the vigilante operating in his city. Meanwhile, Oliver’s own mother, Moira, knows much more about the deadly shipwreck than she has let on - and is more ruthless than he could ever imagine.

So apparently, Star City was renamed Starling City, because....?
(these sort of little generic changes always annoy me, because what's their purpose? what does it bring up to the table? nothing? a new trademarked name to copyright?)

Anyways, here's the official first look at the beginning of the show:

Looking interesting so far.
I'll definitively check up the show's start.
Though this guy doesn't strike me as "Oliver Queen" much.

The arrow-carving seems to be ported straight outta the pages of GA: Year One.

Hope it doesn't end up as "emo" (for lack of a better word) and filled with teenage-angst as Smallville... (a Superman/Clark Kent that barely ever smiled? really? and more drama than a soap opera...)

Now, I can't wait for Syfy's own Booster Gold to show up to! Been loving Eureka lately, and I guess with that show ending, Booster will take its place/slot on the shedule.

How To Draw Batman Punching

Here's a video I found rather pretty interesting, personally.

It's a video of Jake Castorena from Warner Bros Animation studios, showing us how to draw Batman's HAMMERS OF JUSTICE!

This would no doubt quality as one of my top three dream jobs, particularly at WBs ^__^
*sigh*

#BestOf Batman: The Brave and The Bold: Sidekicks Assembl!

Here's an adorable lil' moment of Brave and the Bold featuring its incarnation of the original Teen Titans (minus Wonder Girl - awww :/)

Check it out:

Makes me wanna rewatch the entire show~

#BestOf Batman The Brave & The Bold - Batman Does Not Eat Nachos!

...but he really should! Look at how cool dude!Batman is compared to hammers-of-justice!Batman :P

I miss Brave and The Bold :(

#Movie NEWS! New Dark Knight Rises trailer!

...speaking of Batman, did I post this one already? Not sure, 'dunno...

Anyhow, here's the latest Dark Knight Rises trailer:

Opinions?

Honestly, I'm not entirely sold on this.
I mean, sure they got lots of money and are throwing it in our faces every shot, but, I just dunno... It might be victim of "too much, too little". Also too much hype from the past Bat-movies and Nolan's recent Inception-success.

I'm not feeling the plot, over-gritty, the characters, that silly Catwoman and the badly represented Bane, or even Bats himself. Heck, by this point, he's barely been an interesting character nor the focus of the past 2 films. So...

#BestOf Histeria! - "Trust Buster"

We all know Warner Bros. 90s cartoons such as the DC animated series, Tiny Toons, Animaniacs or even Freakazoid.
But one series that is barely mentioned nowadays is Histeria!, which aired from 1998 to 2000.
The last from the WB animation studios' renaissance.

Here's a little song, by Theodore Roosevelt, which is actually a Ghostbusters parody.
Enjoy!

#Comics NEWS! some new Dark Knight Rises pics

Here's a bunch of new promo material for the upcoming Dark Knight Rises.

And apart from the above "comic book-ysh" shot of Bats vs. Bane, they look sorta bland and generic, and way too over-photoshoped.
Though I can imagine some teens hangings these on their walls.

Check 'em out:

 (click for hi-res!)

#Gaming NEWS! Batman: Arkham City's Game of the Year Edition

And as expected, here's the news regarding Batman: Arkham City new DLC chapter and whatnot!

First of all the game's being re-released thanks to the upcoming new Game of the Year Edition!

This cover's kind of a mess, artistically speaking...

Well, I won't be buying it all over again, but let's check it out in more detail...

First, Warner Bros released this following trailer to announce it:

This new edition will be released for Xbox 360 and PS3 on May 29 in most countries.
It will containt from the go all the previously released DLCs.
A code to digitally download the Batman: Year One animated movie (!).

As well as the all-new DLC Harley Quinn's Revenge!

Now, this new final chapter will act as a sort of epilogue. With a playable Robin that will alternate with Batman.
It is said to be at least 2 hours long and will feature new places to explore, new foes to defeat and lots of detective gameplay around.

Here's some pics:

Looking forward to that?

I'll pick this up as DLC for my version of the game later on. Probably if it gets in one of those digital discounts-of-the-week.

I'd have preferred a whole side story with Nightwing or Robin during the game, their side of the events. Preferably facing one of those enemies that got such  lttle screentime, like Harvey, instead of Harley which we already got plenty around.

#Cartoon NEWS! Beware the Batman teaser trailer

And here's the teaser for the all-new Warner show that will be joining Green Lantern and the likes on DC Nation:

Yeah...
... No.

Beware the Batman looks a bit cheap.
Well, that's the problem with the look they went here.
CGi, I mean good CGi is expensive. But kids nowadays do prefer it visually. And nevertheless, cheap CGi, while looking bland and generic, is cheaper than traditional animation in the end.
Also, producers don't care what you think, they just wanna make money at any cost.

#BestOf Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths - Batman Vs Owlman

Well, this one's a bit spoilerifique if you have yet to see this DC Original Animated Movie...but I love this scene so much!

Batman's confrontation with his evil doppelgänger from another alternate world!

I always loved stories featuring the "evil-JLA" Crime Syndicate of America!^^

#Movie NEWS! New Dark Knight Rises pictures

Here's a bunch of new pics from Christopher Nolan's upcoming Dark Knight Rises thanks to Entertainment Weekly.

And no excuses like "they look bad because they're posing around, showing the costumes, etc." or filming.

This time, these are actual stills from the film!

See that one above, 4 pics above? That's actually what Bane will look like with the movie's proper picture and lightning.

Ugh... seeing this "live Catwoman", and how Bale!Batman looked...  Reminds me why I find these to be good movies but bad Batman stories... (<- that's just my opinion!)

#Ad - Mortal Kombat 9 Vita teaser [PS Vita]'

Here's a pretty kickass "live action" ad Warner just released for the upcoming release of Mortal Kombat 9 on the Sony's Vita.
Check this out:

That's some badass video and an equally fantastic looking cosplay ;)

DC News! Animal Man gets animated!

Part of Warner Bros & Cartoon Network cartoon block, Animal Man will join in the DC Nation!

...And he's looking pretty epic so far!
Check out this preview clip:

I've been loving all the shorts so far. Plastic Man, Super Best Friends Forever..even the silly live footage testing Green Arrow's boxing glove or the batarangs!^^

Also, I can't wait to see the Doom Patrol animated!

Makes me wonder if they'll release the DC Nation shorts on a DVD and if we'll be able to watch through them per characters.

Screenshot: #Thundercats

Since I just parodied Thundercats recently...

*Random* Man... I just love the current new Thundercats cartoon.
And you?

Here's a pretty badass groupshot from one of the recent episodes!
These designs really grew on me over the run of the show:

...and...huh..that is all I had to say!

Very fun "epic" show, blends scifi and fantasy while reimagining the characters and stories.

"Recommended"! <- my two cents review in a word
