Gamin' NEWS! Dead Rising 3 leak

There's very strange rumors around the interwebs lately. Regarding Capcom's other zombie franchise, the sand box beat 'em all series Dead Rising!
It seems they'll be catching up with the titular Resident Evil series with now a 3rd episode in development...

Already hinted on DR's facebook/twitter accounts with this following line:
"I’m getting packing for my new adventure – camera, notebook and baseball
bat. What else would i need for a break in paradise? - Frank"
Dead Rising 3 Is Set In California And The Protagonist Is An Auto MechanicIt seem though that the main character won't be Frank, nor DR 2's Chuck, but rather a new guy, the one you can see on the above picture (from the original leaked concept art picture right next to the text here).
Siliconera is reporting that they have received details regarding the next installment in Capcom's zombie sandbox franchise, Dead Rising. Claiming an unnamed source, Siliconera states that the game will take place in a fictional California town called Los Perdidos, quarantined by the government following a zombie outbreak.
"Dead Rising 3 brings zombies to the fictional town of Los Perdidos, California. After the zombie outbreak, the town is locked down and under martial law. No one can leave, but Rick and a group of survivors have other plans."
According to this source, players will take the role of an auto mechanic named Rick, who plans to restore a plane and escape by air before a bomb destroys what's left of the town. We're also told that Phenotrans is again at the center of events, with Dead Rising 2: Case West antagonist Marian Mallon returning to the series along with a new villain, General Hemlock.

Dead Rising 3 will reportedly feature themes relating to illegal immigration, with one group of infected survivors who have illegally kept their infection hidden from the US government. And, as you might expect, there will be people who lose their heads around the whole thing and have to be put down like rabid dogs.
Silly story/ideas, cheesy character and whatnot...
Sounds pretty Capcom-y if you ask me.

Rick looks like a plausible follow up to Frank West and Chuck Greene. He definitively got all the zombie tropes/references narrowed down. Named Rick after Walking Dead no doubt, ripped blue shirt/jumpsuit and chainsaw in hand, very Evil Dead/Army of Darkness too.

It seems to be aimed to 2012 on Xbox 360 and PS3, another Capcom franchise turned yearly episodic?

But what about those guys? DLC episodes? Co-Op characters?

Gamin' NEWS! Upcoming releases, teasers for next year and a free online demo for your zombie killing needs

Here's a bunch of news for the day.
Assassins, writers, spiders and more!
First up, after the teasing, here's the actual first teaser trailer for the upcoming Alan Wake title!

Alan Wake Returns is announced as a DLC episode only.
And they're still quite mysterious about it, so wait and see!~

Assassin's Creed: Revelations get a brand new "launch trailer":

The conspiracy is still crazy yet intriguing..
Ezio is still stabbing people around..
Yep, good ol' great AC! Cannot wait!

A pic of Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 was leaked...

Finally alternate costumes, I was getting tired of all the color palette swaps...so lazy, specially coming from a 3D fighter!!!
Now, that's a Jill Valentine I can play with...I dislike her RE5 so much...

Though Capcom will probably make you pay to get these... *shakes fist in fury* Why you little!!!...

Beenox released their first concept arts for yet another Spider-man game.

Yes, that Spidey is exactly what you're thinking.
This new one will be titled Amazing Spider-Man, it will be a tie-in with the upcoming rebooted movie next year.

This guy!

Here's the leaked trailer:

It seems it will be a mix of both their previous titles (Spider-Man: Edge of Time or Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions) and Activision past "sandbox" Spidey games (Spider-man 2: The Movie: The Videogame or Spider-man: Web of Shadows).
Retaining their much better improved combat system/controls in an open world setting.
(I'll say it, I prefer structured levels, a sense of progression over the open world maps... gets a bit less boring and repetitive scripted that way... My fav Spider-man still is the first 3D game back on the PC/PS1/N64/DC!)

Finally, something different!

You like Deadrising 2?
You got some free time on your hands?
Good.

Capcom, with the help from the game streaming service Gaikai, is offering a "free" demo playable online!
The first 30 minutes of the games are available at this link.
All you need is an internet connection and  Java-enabled computer!

How cool is that?! XD

Gamin' NEWS! Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3

So it happened again.
Capcom just announced a new edition of one of their fighting games. This time it's...

Deadpool's still on the cover!

Meet Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3!!
While SF4 was reedited as the Arcade Edition over a year later, for MVC3 (released this February) it hasn't been even 10 months and the update's already coming up!
First, let's have a look at the reveal trailer:

So, what do we have here?

"The epic rematch looms in the distance as Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 prepares to take the battle to all-new heights. With new iconic characters from the Marvel and Capcom universes, 48 characters on disc, a refined fighting system and new modes, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 continues the Capcom fighting game legacy when it releases this November for the low MSRP of $39.99."

A dozen or so new characters, including Strider and Firebrand from the Capcom side and Ghost Rider and Hawkeye from the Marvel universe.

 New modes! New balance!
And that's already a lot more than what SSF4AE got :P
And, even new costumes like these:

And you know what? The rest of the cast even got leaked! Enjoy:

Which will had Doctor Strange, Frank West (Dead Rising), Iron Fist, Nemesis (Resident Evil), Nova, Phoenix Wright, Rocket Raccoon and Vergil!

It's only missing Squirrel Girl and would have been super happy with this update!
Anyway, this is looking far more diverse and better than the actual MVC3, I might finally play it again! (seriously though, it might be the fighting game I've tuned in the less playtime...I even playtime a lot more hours of Fighter's History or Galaxy Fight than this one! talk about a deception..)

If the new characters are fun and the new balanced system more intuitive I might actually go back to Capcom. (the latest Mortal Kombat's been rocking my "fighting" time)

E3 NEWS! lots MOAR trailers PartVI

(...)
And one more (the last?) E3 post for the day! While people have been liking or dissing the new Wii U, my fears have been confirmed...it's not retrocompatible with the Gamecube! (time to replug the GC...)
Now the question is, will we be able to transfer saves/profiles/etc from Wii to Wii U?

Back to the games.

I posted some stuff about Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City yesterday.
Here's the game itself running:

Looking much better than I thought it would!
Not sure I'll get it, but at least it seems decent enough.

And since we're on Resident Evil, here's once again the other one, Resident Evil: Revelations:

Looking much better than, dare I say, the actual Resident Evil 5!
Why couldn't Capcom do that on home systems at first...
And YAY! Hunk is back to be a badass (and a pain in the ass)!

Speaking of Capcom, did you guys check the Devil May Cry reboot?

Too much angst...can't...handle...the angst...GYAAH!!
At least the "special effects" look nice on the street. *positivie comment of the day*
We'll be able to go from "classic Dante in a SF4-ysh visual to Emo-Dante at will!
Looks pretty bad and lackbuster...
Aww... :/

Capcom made also available trailers for their upcoming fighting titles:

Launch trailer for the re-re-re-re-release of SF4, Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition. (kiddin'! Calm down you SF-nerds!)
And...

The Street Fighter X Tekken Trailer!
Alright!
Though, as much of a SF I am, kinda more waiting for Namco's take on this...
It's kinda funny how Capcom made this video about the SF guys kickin' the heck outta the Tekken guys :P

Let's see something else.

Anarchy Reigns (Max Anarchy in Japan) is being developed for the Xbox 360 and PS3 by PlatinumGames and published by SEGA.
Can't wait for this "Mad World 2"!

Speaking of anarchy, here's the latest entry in this famous fun zombie series:

This Dead Rising 2 - Frank West edition is turning out quite nicely.
Dead Rising 2: Off The Record will be out later this year.

Here's something some people don't know about, have forgotten or may even not expect:

It's a new entry in the XCOM series (similar to the classic Fallout games) which has been reimagined as a 3rd person action western RPG (kinda like the modern recent Fallout entries). Shaping up quite nicely...and very scifi-ysh! Though I can imagine fans having quite a hard time with this evolution...

Here's SEGA latest rail shooter with zombies and monsters to shot down in a creepy setting...which is not an House of the Dead, almost but not really. Rise of Nightmares

It kinda surprise me they didn't want to cash-in the "House of the Dead" label and brand recognition and name this with a new ip...

After the fright, the bright!
Here's the new Kirby Wii, after checking out yesterday the DS one.

Fun, bright, colorful! A hit already!

And to continue on this theme, here's the latest trailer to Sonic Generations!

*let the haters hate!*
This looks amazing, gorgeous!
Woow!! *in his best Keanu Reeves voice once again*

Do you know the movie Top Gun?
Did you know that since the Nes days they've continued releasing new versions of the game, year after year??
Here's the latest one to date:

It's called Top Gun: Hard Lock and will be out early next year on the "next gen" systems.

Inversion by Saber Interactive. The guys who made the time travelling-gimmicky Time Shift a couple years back.

This time the gimmick's gravity!

And finally, let's close this topic with Q? Entertinment new Child of Eden.
Which is sort of a (spiritual) sequel to Sega's Rez on the Dreamcast:

A gorgeous innovative modern shooter. Playable with Kinect..or not! :)

Gamin' NEWS! Frank West is back...instead of Chuck!

I've been waiting for a sort of re-release of Dead Rising 2 with both the prologue and epilogue DLC put into the same disc, like a Special Edition/Game of the Year release...

And instead we got that...

Dead Rising 2: Off The Record!

This won't be a DLC episode.
Noooo!
It's instead a big What if... scenario, putting Frank West back as main character, instead of Chuck Greene from DR2.

Photography will be back, as well as DR1's point and grading system. Snapping pictures to earn PP, which levels up the character unlike the DR2's system.
Frank West's core gameplay isn't strictly built around photography. You'll also build combo weapons, and there will be new weapons to tape together, letting you form new zombie killing tools.
They've tweaked the engine and gameplay as per critics from DR2. Better system, same story, same environment to explore, brand new locations as well...
Also no Zombrex vaccine to keep an eye on, since he will not have to take care off Chuck's daughter.

Since this one won't be made by Dead Rising 2's developer Blue Castle but instead Capcom Game Studios Vancouver, I'm guessing this game will be retconning Chuck out of DR 2... Weird, right?

Here's some pics:

A new game nobody really was expecting.
Capcom always loved re-releasing games. This one started out as a director's cut for DR2...and ended up kicking Chuck out of the series! XD
(can't imagine how this would turn out if it had happened to the Resident Evil series...)

And here's the official launch trailer:

Gamin' NEWS! Tea for two, and zombies for two.

Here's the launch trailer for Dead Rising 2: Case West, a sort of spinoff/DLC for Dead Rising 2 that doesn't require a copy of the game to be played (like Dead Rising 2: Case Zero which acted as a demo for DR2 on Xbox 360)

It's funny how it even has its own features that didn't made it into the actual Dead Rising 2 game.
Like co-op.
And Frank West - who has covered wars you know?

Frank strangely reminds me of Dan Aykroyd here.. Anyone else?
