Toon News! The Looney Tunes Show preview

Remember that recently announced new Looney Tunes cartoon?
Well...
Me neither!
I had completly forgotten about that one!

Well there's some new info about it!

It will begin this February! (yay!)
It will be called The Looney Tunes Show. (as a reference to a past feature of old Looney Tunes shorts on Cartoon Network)
The episodes will be about ~20 minutes long and like Tiny Toons or Animaniacs in the past will have different various segments.
The main one will be about Bugs and Daffy moving a new neighbourhood, where we'll see them interact with all the various other Toons from Warner Bros.
*crossing fingers for any Tiny Toons references in there, please!*
This is looking so far like a great modern fun take on Looney Tunes, in beautiful hand drawn 2D! Much better than the awful Loonatics, better than the live movies Space Jam/Back in Action and truer to its roots thanthe horrible Baby Looney Tunes cash-in.

Here's the character sheet models:

Pretty nice and large roster already!
Wonderful design, though I expect some haters to, well, hate it. (screw those guys!)
Pépé LePew is here! Awesome!
And even Speedy Gonzales! (I was afraid they didn't had the b@lls to use him nowadays)
And even, *Gasp* Lola Bunny from Space Jam?!?
Heck why not! XD

Don't get too used to Wile E. Coyote!
Why not? Cause he and the Road Runner will get their own segments.
In CGi.

...
God nooooooo!!!

Remember this other old Looney Tunes news?

Well the short was done, aired before some crappy movie (Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore).
And here it is entirely:

Now there's gonna be some other ones.
The next one for exemple will be "Rabid Rider" before the god awful Yogi Bear in December 17.

Here's a preview:

Which probably inspired them to do many more.
So this new "Looney Tunes Show" will feature more CGi Coyote & Road Runner shorts.

And finally there will be another segment called Merrie Melodies (reference!), which will be 2 minutes music videos. Characters singing songs.
Probably the Warner Bros. Animation studios super-inspired after having done so many songs in Batman: The Brave and The Bold recently! :P
Which is a nice touch! (the Tiny Toons and the Animaniacs had a ton of songs, I'm glad to see animation nowadays finally featuring songs once again!)

All I need to be super happy with how all this is turning out is to actually see an episode and have some references to past Looney Tunes shows.
(once again Tiny Toons, Animaniacs, Duck Dodgers or even Taz-mania)
Warner Bros has a pretty large cast of characters currently, thanks to buying and keeping alive old toons from former dead studios. (Hannah Barbera, Tex Avery..) I hope they'll use well their large gallery of colored toons.
 That's all folks!

But wait!
Here's a tiny little preview to end this news-post!

at the end, that's Jeff Bergman as Daffy (he'll be doing Bugs as well)
