Here's something different.
It's the cinematic intro opening to Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour.
Why do I find it blog-post worthy? Because it mostly features Wario and Waluigi prominently.
And since it seems we're aren't getting closer to ever have an actual Waluigi game (or a game by Miyamoto starring Waluigi in it - does he really hate the character?!) and Waluigi only appears in sports/party games, let the man shine in this little funny intro video!
Fantastic animation!
And pretty funny.
Your time will come Waluigi...someday.. (in the meantime, enjoy his various fanarts over the interwebs or his non-official fangames for now)

#E3 NEWS! 2nd day recap part 3
And last for the day(?) some Marios and a Sega Adventure/Platformer title.Mario is back!
Twice!
There's a New Super Mario Bros. 2 coming up for the 3DS. And a New Super Mario Bros. U for the, well you guessed it, Wii U. (...now, I kinda wish they'd call it the Nintendo Wuu instead...)
This first high-definition Mario Bros. game is looking pretty nice!
Like the original Super Mario Bros. 2 or Mario Galaxy 2, this one will be a direct sequel of a previous Mario title.
It will feature up to 5-players in co-op.
Check out these lovely pics:
I recognize the usual themes and tropes of Mario levels.
Looking great!
And here's the debut trailer:
I'm glad to see the first big new Mario mainstream game being a sidescroller on this new system!
~
Remember Sega and Double Fine partnership?
Here's a new gameplay trailer for The Cave!
This all-new sidescroller adventure/platformer from the mind of Dave Grossmann is looking pretty nice^^
~
And that is all for this time, I guess~
Oh wel. Back to work...

#Gaming News! shooters, beat 'em all, whatnot!
Here's a little bunch of diverse gaming-related news from today and this past weekend :P
First up, Crysis 3 in video!
The debut trailer for this big expected sequel - which honestly I still need to catch up from the beginning! But I will, mark my words, I will!
Lookiing great. A return to form to Crysis 1's universe over the bland futuristic city of C2.
Another trailer's expected for tomorrow.
And I'm guess this will be out on HD systems (360+PS3) as well as PC.
Good news is that the original team's still on the series, Crytek Frankfurt - not EA! And this one's for 2013.
~
Lollipop Chainsaw gets a new trailer! Check it out, it's about "Sisters" 'n' stuff:
Additional characters? Sign me in!
I'm getting more and more hyped for this one, a title I wasn't honestly that much interested in to begin with! (even though I love Suda and No More Heroes...)
Out on June 12 as the trailer indicates.
~
Warner seems to hint at some upcoming new DLC for Batman: Arkham City.
As it was announced, it looked like we would be getting some all-new Robin story chapters...but from the looks of it, either Harley Queen's gonna be playable instead or she's the villain in this new content...?
~
Nintendo announced a new Mario again!
It seems that a New Super Mario Bros. 2 will coming to 3DS this August!
Personally, I think I'll wait for the eventual re-release on Wii (Wii-U?), like the previous NSMB..which reminds me, another one I wanted to get...
Here's some pics!
~
And finally, on the macho/testosterone-side of video games, here's a new pic of the upcoming Halo 4 - which has already a release date as early as this November 6(!!!).
You can see these and much more at this following link!
I got to say, generic science fiction or same ol' FPS again, I have to admit these pictures do look nice. I'm glad to see a modern next gen FPS with this wide range of warm colors, not just the usual dull grey-sh tones.
It's gonna be the first one not developed by series creator Bungie, but by the all-new 343 Industries studio.
Let's see if they can make a more interesting and exciting story and not just a yearly re-release of their famous multiplayer shooter.
~
And that's all for the day!
Ta~ta!-

Gamin' NEWS! Sonic and Mario at the lympics,
Here's a bunch of video game news fo' the day.
First of all, did you see it in store already? :P
Here's the launch trailer for Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games on the Wii system.
MARIO & SONIC AUX JEUX OLYMPIQUES DE LONDRES... par SEGA
It's looking nice, like an improvement over the last ones (the 1st one looked so rushed...) but I'm kinda getting tired and bored of these minigames compilations..
Might pick this up at bargain's price.
Continuing with Sega, here's the announcement/trailer for Puyo Puyo !! 20th Anniversary.
This title promise to be very special, for fans and newcomers alike.
Like the best the series have seen so far in one Wii/PSP/3DS. Available on December 15.
Finally "Master the Max Cancel" trailer, a video for the upcoming return of the king of the genre, namely King of Fighters XIII!

Gaming NEWS! Two rivals team up, a writer is back and a lawyer gets on the silver screen
Here's today's latest gaming news status!
On today's program;
Two rivals team up, a writer is back and a lawyer gets on the silver screen!
First up Sega and Nintendo got a new ad for their upcoming crossover title Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games.
Actually there's two slightly different versions of it currently running, one for Sonic and another one for Mario.
It's due out on the Wii soon, on November 18 for most countries, 15 for the US and December 8 for Asia. And the 3DS will get its version next February only.
Meanwhile, some new Alan Wake material has long been rumored.
Finally, Remedy revealed it was named Alan Wake's Night Springs, and will be a sort of spinoff/DLC episode.
The first picture has been revealed Game Informer's website.
It doesn't show much, but a lot of things can be guessed from this simple pic.
You can see a Night Springs sign on the right. This means it will take place in an actual Night Springs location.
The game will use the same mechanics/physics as you can guess from the tone and lights here.
But Alan is wearing very different clothes and not handling a gun but a nail gun instead.
I can guess it will either take place in Alan Wake's mind, projecting himself into the fictional in-game Twilight Zone TV show spoof. Or it won't even be related to Alan Wake's story in the main game and be simply an Xbox Live Arcade original title reusing familiar faces to tell a Night Springs story.
An actual trailer will be soon released, around Spike TV's VGA Awards event.
Temporary DLC to help fans await until the actual sequel?
And finally, here's a trailer of the upcoming Phoenix Wright movie!
Woah!
It looks even better than what I imagined at first!
Congrats, Takashi Miike, you did it again!

Gamin' NEWS! Marios, Sonics, Fighters and Transformers!
Doctor Rosen is not amused.
Here's a new bunch of gaming news.
Today's program, Marios, Sonics, Fighters and Transformers!
Also enjoy my all-new random NEWS! pics. I updated the only one I had (Toby "The Rat" Maguire) and made some new ones to shuffle things up a bit.
Only the best for ya all!
First of all, let's start with a new trailer for the upcoming Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games: London 2012.
Sega & Nintendo just announced this game will feature a new and original party game mode. Sort of a Mario Party X Sonic Shuffle if you will, for connoisseurs.
Check out the Party Mode in the following trailer:
Looks like a fair addition, if they want this 3rd Olympic installment to demarcate from its predecessors.
Street Fighter X Tekken gets a release date, March 6 for the US and March 9 for most of Europe (yay!) and a collector edition!
This collector will include a “Build-It-Yourself Arcade Cabinet Bank” that’s about five inches high, a comic prequel by UDON, in-game gems which will act as currency and serve to unlock/update stuff for your game (à la Marvel Vs. Capcom series). It was confirmed for PS3 and 360 only.
Here's a new trailer from the NY Comic-con, illustrating the new features and more:
I already can smell some haters complaining about this Gems-feature from miles....
And finally, you saw the announcement of a new Transformers game, now here's the actual launch teaser trailer for Transformers: Fall of Cybertron:
Stuff hinted, which I'm sure Transformers fans will no doubt dissect and analyze from scratch to bottom.
And that is all~

Gamin' NEWS! Mario Kart 7
And here's one more trailer of an upcoming Nintendo game.
It's Mario Kart 7, which will be released later this year as well, on Dec. 4 on the 3DS as well.
(they're finally releasing games for that system?.. why didn't they release the system now instead?!)
And it looks like...much of the same.
Which is great for fans, I guess :P
Meh, my favorite Mario Kart was the SNES one. I played the DS one too for, like, 1 week, then completely forgot about it...
Don't mistake me, it is a good looking and fun game. But simply not for me..

Gamin' NEWS! Some Nintendo titles + Bananas!
From this year's 2011 Tokyo Game Show!
It's time for yet another video game update blog post!
This time featuring Nintendo trailers and some familiar Monkey returning yet once again.
First up, let's check out Nintendo's all new trailer for their upcoming The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword!
Nintendo doesn't do much CGi trailers usually, so it's always nice to give a look at such video for one of their titles.
I missed a couple Zelda games, so I'll be playing this around 2015 probably (ha! retro gamers don't fear delays in their "planning"!)
And here's a gameplay trailer showcasing some new mechanics and features:
Looks fun!
It will be released the 20 November on the Wii.
And now, here's a look at Nintendo's mascot upcoming title. This one's on the 3DS instead, for November too, Super Mario 3D Land:
This video's from the press conference.
All in all, Super Mario 3D Land looks like a pretty neat entry. I'm more itnerested in playing this than any of the Mario Sunshine/Galaxy/2 that I missed.
I dunno, but the mix of 2D sidescrolling + simpler 3D platformer has really a nice touch to it. Sure, both Mario Galaxy games might be good games but I'd rather go for something simpler without the planetoids gimmick. (yeah, call me old school if you want!)
Meanwhile, Kirby returns in the appropriately named Kirby's Return to Dream Land on the Wii later this year.
This new game will be a return to basics after a more original entry earlier this year.
Awesome!
I haven't played any Kirby game since the (two) original game(s) on the classic Game Boy waaaay back.
Might give it a try!
(plus, I can't get enough of all these recent sidescrollers lately!)
Luigi will be back in his own spinoff, in this sequel to the Gamecube launch title. This time on 3DS as well.
(note to self: might need to end up buying a 3DS at some point...)
Luigi's Mansion 2's looking great so far! :D
And finally, looking at the other side of the fence.
Sega will bring the series Super Monkey Ball back to the scene, with an all-new entry this time for Sony's new handheld system, the PS Vita:
Great recommended hybrid platformer/puzzle series! If you got a system on which there's a Monkey Ball, I can't recommend trying one of these games. The puzzles are often quite interesting and always make you scratch your brain on later levels.
And that is all for this time~

Super Mario Brothers Super Show - Theme song!
Been a long time since I last posted some opening theme from a show or cartoon :P
Here's the super classic Super Mario Brothers Super Show opening theme!
Enjoy this find, the intro uploaded by cheesymovienight on youtube in a pretty good audio and video quality!
Say what ya want, I still dig this!
I don't even really remember any episode, beside the Old West one with the theme from Rawhide playing most of the time...
And I was a Sega Nerd at heart!
And here's the equally fun ending theme:
Now, do the Mario!~

Gamin' NEWS! Here's some more news/trailers
Here's a couple more game-related news I forgot to post.
Mario & Sonic, Assassin's Creed and Grasshopper studio's new title!
First up, remember those Mario & Sonic Olympics games?
Yep, they made another one :/
Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games.
Beijing was...okay I guess (but as the first one it was kinda, sorta boring and way too much gimmick-y)
Vancouver was much better, thanks to the far superior Winter sports.
But we're back to "normal" Olympics now. They added more variety with the Football/Soccer, Cycling, etc.. So we'll see!
Let's check out the trailer:
Looks great, like most CGi introductions/videos SEGA tends to produce.
I guess we'll see one of these Mario & Sonic party games every 2 years now? (forever?!?)
Until one o' those makes a flop, that is...
This one will be out on November 18 in the meantime.
Ubisoft revealed some more of Ezio and Altair's "last adventure" in Assassin's Creed Revelations.
Enjoy this latest trailer from GamesCom 2011:
This latest adventure of Desmond's Hassassin lineage will be out on November 15.
Ubi said Assassin's Creed: Revelations would conclude both Ezio and Altair's story, we can only assume it will take place within the established timeline or introduce the next stabby hero in the assassin line.
(until Assassin's Creed 3 is actually finally released, that is)
And speaking of which... Awesome game developing studio Grasshopper Manufacture took the occasion, at GamesCom, to showcase their brand new upcoming title.
A sidescroller this time!
Black Knight Sword will be a side-scrolling action game.
It might look simple and silly but it is (even) running on the Unreal engine (!!!).

E3 NEWS! lots MOAR trailers PartV
So, lotsa things happened since I last blogged about the Expo on this blog.
A new Nintendo System, the Wii U, which will be a much more powerful HD Wii in a way. With big mainstream "adult" titles such as Alien Colonial Marines, Metro Last Light, Ninja Gaiden 3 and even some mysterious titles such as Assassin's Creed (is it an exclusive one? the original/a remake Assassins' Creed 1? Assassin's Creed Revelation only they forgot to put in the rest of the title?) and Tekken (Tekken Tag 2? A new one? A remake of the original classic?).
This new system has a very special type of controller, more like a tablet than an actual controller, with buttons + sticks. Featuring a screen which kinda makes this controller a sort of handheld system, only 1 player will be able to use it on a Wii U, the others will have to use "classic" Wiimotes.
Meanwhile Sony showcased their new PSP2, sorry, the VITA. Or PSVita, or PSV..anyways I'm just glad they didn't keep their previous temporary acronym NGP ("Next Gen Portable") which will always stand for me for Neo Geo Pocket :P
Me and tons of retro gamers around the world.
What d'you guys think?
Well, I for one am not really a fan of accessories or systems. It's the games that count. (same goes with movies and 3D, home released and Blurays or DVDs.. the content is always more important than the container)
They'll all have to offer more than 5-10 good titles to interest me :P
First let's start quickly with a Wii U (how do you say that? Way-you? Wee-eww?) reveal trailer:
It's backward compatible with all existing Wii games, and apparently supports existing Wii hardware too.
I'm guessing (and hoping) the same goes with Gamecube stuff. (or I'll have to replug the GC!) And hopefully we'll be able to transfer our game saves/profiles/etc in some way...
It's pretty gimmicky, but I guess that's the way technology is evolving into.
The controller doesn't surprise nor impress me much.. I guess that was bound to happen. *reads/watches too much scifi stuff*
Enough!
On to the games now!
Nintendo had lots of trailers/announcement regarding its other new system, the 3DS.
Including a Metal Gear Solid, a Starfox and a Mario Kart 3DS.
Let's check out the others not as much people will look into:
Kid Icarus: Uprising, looking nice, if a bit pixelated.
(but I guess that goes with most 3DS titles... to force people to use the 3D to smooth things out)
Here's now Super Mario. Simply Super Mario.
From the same team that made Galaxy.
Woah!
Not much a fan of Mario usually (and I don't get "blinded" by Mario's legacy, nostalgia and fanboysm when judging one) but this looks great!
Why couldn't they make one like this on the Wii directly?
Everything I always wanted Mario 64 to be!!
(yeah, I admit it, I never liked it much...too much uncontrollable for my tastes and serious lack of sidescrollin' around..)
(yeah, I admit it, I never liked it much...too much uncontrollable for my tastes and serious lack of sidescrollin' around..)
And here's another Mario:
Yeah, I said I wasn't gonna post those big name games...but I guess I lied :P
At least this one's Paper Mario 3DS!
Looks nice.
I doubt I'll get it (at least at full price!)
But nice.
Meanwhile on Capcom's side:
It's Resident Evil: Revelations!
For the 3DS also.
(all the good games are coming up there?)
Unlike Mercenaries, which is all about shooting action, Revelations is all about survival horror, the very genre Resident Evil established. We actually think of Revelations as a direct sequel to Resident Evil 5 and it will be full of new, innovative ideas and characters
Capcom sees this one as the true actual new RE game. Or at least, that's how they're trying to sell us this one.
And if you're not convinced, here's another title:
Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City. Much like Resident Evil: Mercenaries on the 3DS, it's a multiplayer spinoff title. This one is based around the events of the classic RE in Raccoon City.
Like a sort of Left4Dead take on the series.
Back to Big N.
Link is back in The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword.
Looking lovely, sharp, bright, colorful.
Love the feel, the graphics...
I'm expecting a Wii and Wii U releases. Like Twilight Princess.
The question now is, which system was it developed for, and where is it being ported to in a rush.
The question now is, which system was it developed for, and where is it being ported to in a rush.
Mario, Sonic & co are brought back together one more time, in...
Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games!
Another one, right!
....And one more time it's gonna sell a million copies.
And here's another sequel, this one to a much more loved "Mario" game:
That's right!
Next Level Games is developing a Luigi’s Mansion 2.
Worry not, Shigeru Miyamoto is even on board!
It looks like more of the same, only this time on the 3DS.
Is it only me, or shouldn't most games of today's post be on the actual Wii rather than the 3DS? (is Nintendo already moving into the Wii U?)
Here's a new Capcom title, which I'd like to call "Buddhist God of War"
Asura’s Wrath.
It seems to be an over-the-top beat'em all.
Looking much better than I thought original back in 2010.
Remember the announcement of Puzzle Agent 2 by Telltale Games?
Here's the debut trailer!
Looking great, amazing and fun!
And finally, a new Kirby game that Nintendo seems to have been pretty quiet about.
A return to a more traditional Kirby after last year's stylized entry.

Sonic NEWS! Place-holder game covers confirm and announce future Sonics
So, two place-holder game covers started popping up on various websites confirming the coming of 2 new upcoming Sonic Games!
First off, Sonic Generations (as it looks like it will be called) gets a stand-in cover for the moment:
Here's the launch trailer in case you missed it.
And meanwhile, since it seems that Sega got the rights for another year for yet another Olympic game (a next gen realistic one will be developed by Eurocom), here's what we now are used to by Sega & Nintendo for the Wii system:
That's right! Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games!
All those are simply mock-up covers for now, leaked from spanish/portuguese websites.
And they don't seem to shy away from spoiling the news since the London 2012 has already been officially revealed there in portfolios of people involved with the game over there.
And that is all~
The Mario & Sonic games are kinda decent party games, as far as party games go. (not a big fan here) Though it should be fun enough if it is anything like the previous Winter 2010 one.
